About This Competition
Welcome to MacTuffX, the largest functional fitness racing series in the UK. Covering more than 30 venues in nearly 30 cities, from the English South Coast to Aberdeenshire in Scotland.
MacTuffX has been designed within our ethos — our events are challenging, for everyone, all ages, all abilities. Whether you're a HYROXer, a CrossFitter or a total beginner, there's a place for you on the start line.
Whether you participate on your own, with a team mate or a crew, you can tailor your entry to best suit your needs and ability.
Choose Your Distance
- X — 10 x Xercises, 10 x 400m runs. Classic.
- 2X — 10 x Xercises, 10 x 800m runs. Double Distance.
Choose How to Compete
- Solo — Just Me
- Doubles — With a Partner
- Relay — Up to 5 people in a team
The 10 Xercises
A full functional workout woven between the runs — alternating snatches, walking lunges, devil press, overhead carries, kettlebell deadlifts, burpee broad jumps, slamball ground-to-overhead, Zercher carries and slamball sit-ups. Every station is designed to test strength, engine and grit in equal measure.
Standard or LITE
Both Men's and Women's categories are offered in Standard and LITE weight divisions, so you can pick the load that matches your level — no one gets left behind.
Where & When
The 2026 season runs May through October across nearly 30 cities, including Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee, Ayr, Livingston, London, Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Blackburn, Bristol, Bournemouth, Brighton, Portsmouth, Exeter, Swansea, Swindon, Peterborough, Bedford, Watford, Sutton Coldfield and Brierley Hill.
