About This Competition
BEGINNER'S BASH 2022
30th July 2022 at Crossfit 505 Burpengary.
Same Sex Pairs Competition for SCALED and BEGINNER athletes to Crossfit. If you have the desire to compete, but don't have RX loads and skills just yet, this is the competition for you!

Format and Details:
MM + FF Pairs
SCALED Division only - workouts and movement standards to be released prior to the competition.
Registration: $120 per pair + processing fee (this price includes a shirt for each participant!) Registration closes 2pm Friday 15th July.
Workouts/Schedule:
TIME: 12noon to 4pm (approx).
FIRST HEAT STARTS: 12:30pm

Prizes:
1st, 2nd and 3rd placed pairs in both Male and Female Divisions will receive prize packs!
Policies:
REFUNDS - Cancellations of registration will not be refunded - substitutions of pair members are advised in this situation.
SUBSTITUTES - Pair member changes can be made until Mon 25th July on a case-by-case basis, however there will be no refunds for cancellations. Please email us to advise if a pair member change is required.
WAIVER - All athletes must complete the Beginner's Bash waiver prior to competing. Please have all team members complete this prior to attending and competing.
COVID-19 - The event organisers will be following the QLD Governments Industry Safe Checklist and Guidelines. Please ensure you do not attend if you are feeling unwell or displaying any symptoms of Covid.
FAQ's:
What should I bring?
Additional to all of your regular gear that you would need to compete with (eg: skipping rope, wrist wraps, towel, food etc), you are welcome to bring chairs and gazebo's. These can be set up in the sectioned off area of our car park (see site map).
Will there be food/drinks at the event?
We are only offering beverages from our fridge and esky's on the day. FitAid, Water and Gatorades are available to purchase. Please ensure you bring plenty of your own food to stay fuelled for the day.
Where do I park?
See the site map for the best places to park for the event. There will be very limited parking available in the gym complex, but there is plenty of parking at the local Supermarket across the road. Parking in any other designated areas outside of our recommendations will run the risk of being towed.

**Your Score will be combined times for both partners.
1RM Clean
Squat or Power Clean permitted.
Both athletes may lift as many times as they wish in a 10 minute window.
Score is total weight of best lift for both athletes.
For Time (18min CAP):
Buy in - 60 burpees (one partner must hold an over head plate 20kg/10kg while the other completes burpees)

Double DB Deadlifts (15/7 each hand)
Double DB Hang Snatch (15/7 each hand)
Double DB Push Press (15/7 each hand)
** one partner must hold and over head plate 20kg/10kg while the other completes repetitions of the workout
Any repetitions completed while the plate is not held in an overhead position by their partner will not be counted.
