About This Competition
Grab your besties and jump in the Festivus Games!
Festivus Games is for Intermediate and Novice athletes only.
If you compete in the RX or Elite divisions in other competitions or place in the top 10% of The Open or top 5% of your age group division in The Open, you are ineligible to compete in Festivus Games. If you choose to sign-up and we find out that you are, in fact ineligible, you will be disqualified and not be offered a refund.
Since 2011
Festivus Games, since 2011, is a competition for "the rest of us" - for the 95% of athletes who aren't pure-Rx firebreathers. No athlete, whether six months in or brand new, will need to scale any of the events. The competition is about capacity more than a high degree of skill. Everyone can row…just how fast? Everyone can deadlift..just how much?
Since the first competition with about 70 athletes Festivus Games has grown to over 17,000 athletes a year!
When you compete in the Festivus Games you can expect to be challenged but you can also expect to have a lot of fun. When you see the WODs you'll finally be able to say "I can do that!" With your boxmates, you will sweat, laugh, cheer and compete.

Individual Workout Flow
At 3, 2, 1, Go! the Athlete will complete the first set of two Power Cleans, followed by two Pull-Ups / Ring Rows, and then two Burpees Over Bar. The Athlete will proceed to the next set of four reps for each movement, and so on, increasing by two reps for each movement in the ascending rep scheme of 2-4-6-8-10…. continuing as far as possible in the time available. The workout ends when the time expires.

At 3, 2, 1, Go! the athlete will begin the 2-minute AMRAP of Bench Press, completing as many reps as possible within the time limit.
The workout ends at the 2-minute mark, and the total number of completed reps will be the Athlete’s score.

Max Cal Row – In Time Remaining
At 3, 2, 1, Go! the Athlete will begin with 60 Double-Unders / Single-Unders, followed by 45 Russian Kettlebell Swings, and then progress through the movements of the chipper workout as listed. After completing the 10 Box Overs, the athlete will perform as many calories as possible on the rower in the remaining time. The workout ends when the 8-minute time cap is reached.

At 3, 2, 1, Go! the Athlete will begin the AMRAP, completing 10 Single Dumbbell Shoulder-to-Overhead, followed by 10 Sit-Ups, and then 10 Dumbbell Goblet Squats. The athlete will continue cycling through these movements as many times as possible within the 4-minute time cap.
