About This Competition
Arizona's biggest Fitness Competition is back!! Desert City Slam Team Edition aka DC SLAM TEAMS! Presented by CrossFit INCITE.
Bringing together our love for Community, Fitness, and Fun into an action packed CrossFit competition.
M/M & F/F Teams will have their chance to test their fitness throughout the day by attacking 3 WODS + 1 Floater. There will be Cash prizes and awesome swag bags for Podium Winners!

IMPORTANT INFO:

Athlete Check in - All Athletes must check in between 6:30am-7:30am. Athlete Check in will be in the back of the building. Athlete WOD briefing @ 7:30. Followed by the National Anthem. Event 1 kicks off at 8:00am sharp.
Parking - There is parking available...
- There is free parking available. Please park where you see fit.
Come Prepared -
- Youll need to have an ID handy for athlete check in.
- Please be prepared with a tent/place to chill outside, we will have the whole gym set up as a competition floor and will need all the space we can so we will need athletes to be stationed outside if they are not competing in the current heat or the On-Deck Heat.
- Bring whatever you need to compete. We will have chalk buckets available but will not provide any additional pieces of personal equipment.
No Take Backs - If you sign-up for this event please be advised that we will not be able to refund any monies collected for any reason. Hopefully everyone can stay healthy and be ready to compete on the 6th & 7th of May!
Trading Places - You can substitute an athlete up until the day of competition. There will be no monies refunded if trading from RX to Scaled division.
Vendors - We will have tons of great vendors and food trucks both days of competition.

* Athletes MUST complete 20 repetitions before tagging in/out with their partner
** Rope Climbs - Tag in/out after each completed repetition.
- Rope climbs are completed when athlete touches the ground on their final rep.
** Pistols- Full standing Extension, Hips Below Paralell
** Slamballs- Fullbody Extension, Ball Touches Ground

3 Rounds For Time:
50/35 Cal Echo Bike
30 Box Facing - Burpee Box Jump Overs 24/20
500m Run
*20min cap
EVENT DETAILS:
Tie Break: When team finishes their final round of Burpee Box Jump Overs.
Echo Bike:
- Athletes must remain behind starting line until workout starts.
- The athletes judge will have the screen on and ready to go.
- Athletes can rotate on and off the bike however they see fit.
- Athletes cannot start the squats until the bike screen reads the required amount of calories.
Box Facing Burpee Box Jump Overs:
- Only 1 Athlete may work at a time, They can break up the reps however they want.
- Working athlete must remain in the marked off area at all times.
- Athletes will tag eachother to switch out.
Run:
- Both athletes will run together holding a rope between the two of them.
- The amount of time shown on the clock as both runners pass the finish line after their 3rd round is their score for event 1.
Event 2.A
0:00 - 8:00 min to establish:
Parter A - 1 Rep max Snatch
Partner B - 1 Rep Max Clean & Jerk
(Power or Squat)
immediately into Event 2.B
(Event 2.B 8:00 - 13:00 min - For time)
- Athletes will start in the designated athlete area until the time starts.
- Partner A will ONLY do the max Snatch. Partner B will ONLY do the MAX Clean & Jerk.
- Partners will share 1 barbell..
- Lift in any order you'd like. Switch out the weights as much as you'd like. Up or down.
- Athletes must stand tall and show control at the top of both lifts.
- Rep will count as soon as their judge acknowledges a good lift.
- Score is the combined total weight of the Max Snatch and Max Clean & Jerk.
RX - Event 2.B FOR TIME:
8:00 - 13:00 (immediately following event 2.A)
Partner A - 30 Clean & Jerks 135/95
Partner B - 30 Snatches 135/95
(Power or Squat)
*Event 2.A & 2.B are two sepeterately scored events that are back to back.
EVENT 2.B Details:
- Athletes are in charge of loading their own bar to the required weight before the 5min period begins.
- The Max Snatch athlete MUST do the 30 Clean & Jerks first.
- The Max Clean & Jerk athlete MUST do the 30 Snatches last.
- Athlete must show full extension and control at the top of each rep.
- Partner A must finish the 30 Clean & Jerks BEFORE Partner B begins the 30 Snatches.
Break up reps however you and your partner see fit.
Only 1 person works at a time.
Movements must be completed in order:
For Time: 15 Cap
100 - Wall Balls 30/20#
80 - Toes to Bar
60 - Alternating Dumbbell Hang Snatches 70/50#

RX Floater WOD:
For time:
Partner A: 500m Row for time
Partner B: Max Sandbag Over the Shoulders 150/100#
* Total time will be 500m row subtracted by the amount of Sand Bag Over The Shoulder Reps.
Example: Partner A Rows a 1:30 500m. Partner B gets 20 Sand Bag Reps. Total Score = 1:30 - :20 = SCORE: 1:10
500m Row Details:
- Partner A may start seated on the rower.
- Their judge will have the rower set to a 500m count down.
- They may start pulling whenever both partners and judge are ready.
- Floater event ends when Partner A completes their 500m row.
Sand Bag Details:
- Partner B can not touch the Sand Bag untill Partner A starts pulling.
- Athlete must then get the bag from its resting position on the ground to over their shoulder and then back onto the ground for the rep to count.
- Bag must clearly pass over the top of the shoulder.
- Athlete is not required to alternate sides.
