About This Competition

The Teenage Worldwide Championships is a competition designed just for teens!

 

US$1,000++ prize pool!!

 

This event has three difficulty levels:

Lion - seriously advanced; push your limits!

Entry fee: US$35

 

Leopard - for intermediate athletes; challenge yourself!

Entry fee: US$25

 

Cheetah - for beginners; have a go, have fun!

Entry fee: US$25

 

Age divisions:

13-14, 15-16, and 17-18.

Athletes will enter based on their age prior to the start of the competition.

 

Dates:

This competition will commence on 9th August. A new workout will be released each Thursday at 5:00pm PT for 5 weeks (5 workouts). 

Workouts must be either filmed or validated by a judge*. Scores must be submitted by the following Monday at 5pm PT each week.

*To qualify for prizes, 1st place athletes MUST submit a video.

Workout 18.1*

 

 12 minute AMRAP:

 

 2-4-6-8-10-12 etc. of

 Deadlifts 

 Squat cleans

 Push jerks

 Pull ups

 Chest to bars

 Muscle ups

Workout 18.2*

 

 21-15-9 (20 min time cap):

 

 Calories on rower

 Burpee box jump overs

 Power snatches

Workout 18.3*

10 minute AMRAP:

20 Kettlebell swings

20 Single arm overhead walking lunges with kettlebell (10 per leg)

20 Wall balls

Workout 18.4*

For time (20 min time cap):

80 Goblet squats with kettlebell

60 Burpees to Target (step-up not permitted)

40 Toes to bar

20 Handstand pushups

Workout 18.5*

2 minutes to build to 1rm:

Squat snatch

Rest 1 minute then….

5 minute AMRAP:

Thrusters*

 


*During the thrusters, each time the bar is dropped the athlete is required to do five burpees as a penalty before picking it up again. The burpees are not counted as reps.

Each pound for the 1 rep max snatch counts as 1 ‘rep,’ so if the athlete successfully lifts 50lbs. followed by 50 thrusters, his or her score will be 100 reps.
