About This Competition
CrossFit IronSpider's Cougars & Cradle Robbers Throwdown is back for its 7th year Summer edition! We know there are some crazy Cougars & Cradle Robbers that have their eyes on some young cubs; scoop up your partner for the hottest date you’ll ever go on and come Throwdown.
Cougars & Cradle Robbers is a unique CrossFit competition mixing BADASS Masters (40+) with young BUCKS (under40)! This competition will have COED teams of two with 2 divisions, RX and Scaled.
Kick some booty and watch fierce Cougars throwing down with young studs and Cradle Robbers representing with buff young chicks.
Cash prize, and free swag will attract a sell out crowd so register ASAP! We will be CAPPING this years event so register early :)

Workouts
WOD 1: 10 min cap
50 C&J for time
EMOM 20 Dubs
RX: 135/95
Scaled & 50+: 95/65
50+ scaled: 65/45
WOD begins with the
20 dubs
WOD Overview: Partner 1 will begin the workout with the 20 dubs and use the remaining time to complete C&J. On min 2, partner 2 will begin their jump rope and use the remaining time to complete C&J.
Partners switch on each new minute until all 50 C&J are complete
WOD 2: 15 min cap
10 Rounds
10/7 Cal Row (RX & Scaled) (50+ Scaled 8/5)
8 HSPU (50+ RX 1 plate and pad) (Scaled: Palm release push-up) (50+ Scaled: Palm release push-up to 45# plate)
10 Box jumps overs (20” for all) (50+ and Scaled: Step-up and over OR Jump) (50+ Scaled: Step-ups)
WOD Overview: Alternating movements. Team chooses who starts on the rower
Partner 1 completes the full calorie row, then partner 2 begins the push-ups, followed by partner 1 completing the 10 box overs, followed by partner 2 completing the row etc...
(Computer must be rest before next athlete begins)
WOD 3:
50 Deadlifts (185/125) (50+ RX & Scaled: 135/95) (50+ Scaled: 95/65)
10 Cal Bike
50 Burpee over BB (Lateral facing) (50+ Scaled: Up downs & Step-over BB) (Teams will only use 1 BB)
10 Cal Bike
50 Pull-ups (50+ & Scaled: American KBS 53/35) (50+ Scaled: Russian KBS 53/35)
*Share the reps & movements as you see fit. This means only one athlete needs to bike if that is what you decide!
*One athlete working at a time
8 Butt ball air Squats ( set ball to squat depth height-hip crease below knee
4/arm DB snatches ( RX 50/35) (Scaled & 50+ RX 35/20) ( 50+ Scaled 20/15)
P1 completes full round and then P2 goes.
WOD Overview: Alternating rounds. Team chooses who starts on air squats
P1 completes the full round of 8 air squats and 8 DB snatches, then P2 completes a full round. The next partner can begin the air squats once the 8th rep is complete.
A DB snatch is complete once the arm, hips, knee are locked out with DB
