About This Competition

EVENT OVERVIEW

Price? £75pp

Who? We are inviting teams of four to take to the stage in our elite, novo and open categories.

Where? NFG is pumped to announce the first-ever FitGames Scotland. Watch out Edinburgh – NFG is coming for you, and they mean business. Located just a stone’s throw from the city centre, the prestigious University of Edinburgh will be welcoming NFG teams to go head-to-head at their impressive competition facility. With the DJs pumping out the beats, start-of-the-art facilities, and friendly rivalry, this fresh Scottish event is set to be a banger. 

COMPETITION FORMAT

Teams of four with novo, elite and open sub-categories available.

Workouts

0-10 Mins - Max Calories on Ski-Erg together as a team

  • At 0 mins Team Member 1 must complete a 750m run
  • At 5 mins Team Member 2 must complete a 750m run
  • EMOM one team member must complete:
  • Elite - 2 x Sandbag GTOS: Males @ 60kg / Females @ 40kg
  • Open - 2 x Sandbag GTOS: Males @ 50kg / Females @ 30kg
  • Novo - 10 x Plate GTOH: Males @ 15kg / Females @ 10kg


10-20 Mins - Max Calories on Rower together as a team

  • At 10 mins Team Member 1 must complete a 750m run
  • At 15 mins Team Member 2 must complete a 1500m run ((750m for NOVO athletes))
  • E2MOM one team member must complete:
  • Elite - 10 x Sandbag Squats: Males @ 60kg / Females @ 40kg
  • Open - 10 x Sandbag Squats Males @ 50kg / Females @ 30kg
  • Novo - 10 x Goblet Squats: Males @ 20kg KB / Females @ 16kg KB


20-25 Mins - Max Calories on Assault Bike together as a team


SCORE = CALORIES BURNT ON ROWER + CALORIES BURNT ON SKI-ERG + CALORIES BURNT ON ASSAULT BIKE

0-8 Mins - Build to a 1Rep Max Ground to Overhead

*every team member will record a score


8-16 Mins - Build to a 5 Rep Max Deadlift

*every team member will record a score


SCORE = Total Combined Weight of Best Lifts

Each team member must complete 5 rounds of the following:


  • 6 x Synchro Deadlifts @ Male 70kg / Female 40kg
  • 9 x Single Arm Dumbbell Clean & Press @ Male 18kg / Female12kg
  • 12 x Dual Kettlebell Front Rack Squats @ 2 x Male 12kg / Female 


*the second pair of team members cannot start their round until the two before them have completed all three exercises


Once every team member has completed 5 rounds, all team members must complete:

  • 50 x Synchro Bodyweight Alternate Lunges

Every team member must complete 3 Rounds of the following, in Indian File with only one team member working at any one time:


ELITES:

  • Watt Bike: Males 500m / Females 350m
  • 5 x Burpees Over the Wall
  • 40m KB Farmers Carry: Males 2 x 36kg / Females: 2 x 28kg
  • 40m Sprint (20m Shuttle)


OPEN:

  • Watt Bike: Males 500m / Females 350m
  • 5 x Burpees Over the Wall
  • 40m KB Farmers Carry: Males 2 x 32kg / Females: 2 x 24kg
  • 40m Sprint (20m Shuttle)


NOVO:

  • Watt Bike: Males 350m / Females 250m
  • 3 x Over the Wall
  • 40m KB Farmers Carry: Males 2 x 24kg / Females: 2 x 16kg
  • 40m Sprint (20m Shuttle)


SCORE = TIME TAKEN TO COMPLETE 12 ROUNDS (3 ROUNDS PER TEAM MEMBER)

Complete as many rounds as possible as a team of the following in order, with one team member working at a time (except for the synchro movements):


ELITES:

  • Synchro Chin Up 3-6-9 (+3 each round)
  • Synchro Burpees to Target 3-6-9 (+3 each round)
  • 20 x Wallballs: Males @ 9kg / Females @ 6kg
  • 20 x American KB Swings: Males @ 32kg / Females @ 24kg
  • 20 Calorie Ski Erg


OPEN:

  • Chin Up 3-6-9 (+3 each round)
  • Synchro Burpees to Target 3-6-9 (+3 each round)
  • 20 x Wallballs: Males @ 9kg / Females @ 6kg
  • 20 x American KB Swings: Males @ 24kg / Females @ 16kg
  • 20 Calorie Ski Erg


NOVO:

  • Air Squats  3-6-9 (+3 each round)
