2023 YVR DUOS (mix) MATCH (06.10)

DIVISIONS: I, II, III

FORMAT: DUOS (mix)

START: 6/10/2023 2:00pm

HOST: CROSSFIT BC

END: 6/10/2023 5:00pm

EARLY BIRD REG ENDS: 5/13/2023 2:00pm

REGISTRATION CLOSES: 6/2/2023 2:00pm

MATCH DETAILS 

In the new 2023 format, seasons are done as individual matches and athletes will accumulate a point total / score / ranking throughout the season before registering for full day playoff events. 

All matches include a minimum of 3 events, and up to 5 different scores.

Matches always include at least one strength event, the other 2 events may follow any format. For full breakdown of possible event formats see: www.league.fit/faq

Teams will be required to provide a judge for events they are not competing in (it will be included in the schedule). Teams have the option of bringing an additional spectator (they must have FF/CF experience) to stand-in for their team as judge - otherwise the athletes will assist in judging heats between theirs.

Note: individual matches do NOT include a shirt (but shirts can be purchased at the match for $25).

M: 5RM Deadlift
F: 2RM Deadlift

FLOW

Teams will only have 2-4 minutes prep time on the floor prior to their 12 minute start
Judges collect athletes & team name on scoresheets
Mixed teams will share a 35lb barbell
1 Athlete will lift at a time
The weight on the bar must always go UP, you cannot take weight off the bar once it has been attempted
Athletes may take as many attempts as they like - only their heaviest successful attempt will count
Barbells must ALWAYS have clips on to count
Athletes must ALWAYS declare their weight prior to lifting
The final lift must START before the buzzer
The score will be the combined total heaviest lift by each athlete

The Mixed Bag
Team 2 (MIX):
3 rounds for total reps.
Every 2.5 minutes:
15/12 Calorie bike and row
In remaining time with 1 athlete working at a time complete max (alternating):
1) Toes to bar/ring
2) Single arm overhead DB step back lunge

*men will complete 15 calories either bike or row, and women will complete 12 calories of the other. Athletes cannot leave their device until both have completed their calories.

SKI DOWN CLIMB UP
Team 2 (MIX):
12 minutes for max reps/points.
1 athlete working at a time alternating rounds:

10/7 Calorie ski into;
single set max unbroken rope climb points

Rope climb point variations:
legless = 10 points
Rx = 6 points
strict getup = 2 points
:03 hold = 1 point

Unbroken means once they begin their first rep they must be in constant motion or off the ground.
