About This Competition

WodStock is a same sex partner competition AND individual teen & junior competition hosted by CrossFit 610. The competition will start at 8:30AM on Saturday, July 24th and finish that afternoon.

The competition will consist of 3 wods per division and takes place in the climate controlled, very comfortable Cowan Civic Center. 

All participants will receive a WODStock shirt in their registration/swag bag and all podium finishers will receive unforgettable prizes! 

We will have food trucks on site as well as vendors.

A portion of the proceeds of this event go to Lane Change- a local non profit organization that helps the community by providing hope through outreach, prevention and education for substance abuse. 

We will release specific movement standards soon, but to ease your mind- there will be NO pull ups, muscle ups, toes to bar, ring dips or ring rows. 

As a general guide:

Scaled Divisions: You typically scale movements during your class WODs. Lighter weights and scaled gymnastics/bodyweight movements (Hand-Release Push-ups and/or Seated DB Press instead of Handstand Push-ups. Single Unders instead of Double Unders. Box Step-ups instead of Box Jumps, etc.). 

Rx Divisions: You do all, or at least a majority, of your class WODs Rx. Heavier weights and more skilled gymnastics movements. Handstand pushups/walks, pistols, double unders, box jumps, etc. 

Teens: Our teen division is ages 13-15. Teens should be able to do scaled gymnastics/bodyweight movements (see above) and be comfortable with weighted movements as well. Weights will be lighter than the adult scaled division.

Youth: Our youth division is ages 10-12. These kids will not be using barbells but will be using weights (kettle bells, dumbbells, etc) and should be comfortable with them. They should also be able to do most scaled gymnastics/bodyweight movements (nothing requiring a rig- pullups, ring work, etc.)

Refunds will NOT be given! If you cannot participate, find a replacement! Let us know and we will try to help! In the event that the competition is cancelled, your registration fee will be refunded.

Workouts

Part A: Teams will have 10 alernating 2 minute rounds to each  work toward a 3 rep max mear complex. Lifts must go up in weight or remain the same- they can not go down.

Score for part A: TOTAL weight lifted- every successful round by both partners.

 

Part B: At the 20 minute mark, the heavier of the 2 successful lifts will be deadlifted AMREP by the other lifter. 

Score for part B: reps X weight of deadlift

 

Overall score for the wod: Part A + Part B
