Hyrox Simulation @ CrossFit Freedom
About This Competition
CrossFit Freedom in Libertyville is hosting a HYROX Simulation designed to closely replicate the structure and experience of a standard HYROX race.
This event will follow the same format as a traditional HYROX competition, including the standard sequence of runs paired with functional workout stations. The goal of this event is to give athletes the opportunity to experience the pacing, transitions, and challenge of a HYROX event in a local gym setting.
Whether you're preparing for an upcoming HYROX race or simply want to test yourself in this unique race format, this simulation will give you a realistic experience of what to expect on race day.
Event Details
• Date: Saturday, June 27th
• Start Time: 8:00 AM (heats will run every 15 minutes from 8:00am-12:00pm)
• Location: CrossFit Freedom

Divisions- this event will include individuals and teams of two (same sex)
• Men Pro
• Men Open
• Men Rookie
• Women Pro
• Women Open
- Women Rookie
- Teams W/W Open
- Teams M/M Open
-Pro divisions will use weights consistent with hyrox standard pro weights. Open divisions will use weights consistent with hyrox standard open weights. Rookie divisions will use open weights, but will only be required to complete 1/2 distances on each run (which will be about 400m per run) All other divisions will complete the full distance run, which will be slightly shorter than the standard Hyrox distance (about 800m)
Team divisions will split the functional work stations between the two teammates, but both athletes will be required to complete all of the runs- just like a standard Hyrox race.
This event will include 7 stations of running, each followed by a functional workout station. It will include all of the standard hyrox stations, besides the sled push and sled pull. In the place of those two stations, there will be an assault bike station.
Timing:
This is a simulation event, so there will be no chip timing. There will be official scoring with a live leaderboard
REFUND POLICY
All registrations are final.
No refunds will be issued for any reason, including but not limited to injury, illness, scheduling conflicts, or failure to attend.
In the event of cancellation by the organizer, full refunds will be issued
SUBSTITUTION / TRANSFER POLICY
Athlete registrations may be transferred to another athlete up to 7 days prior to the event
All substitutions must be submitted via email and approved by the event staff
No substitutions will be allowed after the transfer deadline
SCORING & JUDGING
All workouts will be judged live
Judging standards will be published prior to the event
No-reps and penalties will be enforced consistently
Head Judge decisions are final
EQUIPMENT & STANDARDS
All divisions will have clearly defined weights, heights, and movement standards.
SCHEDULE & CHECK-IN
Athlete check-in and briefing times will be announced prior to the event
All athletes must attend the athlete briefing or review the posted briefing materials
Heat times will be published no later than Monday, June 22nd; athletes are responsible for being ready at their assigned time
