About This Competition

This is a great competition for every level of competitors. This competition is inviting for those who love to compete in "games style" events. You can expect to see challenging workouts without any demand on skilled gymnastics movements ex: NO (pull ups, muscle ups, t2b, handstand walks etc.). You should be fluent with pretty much all of the classic crossfit movements and be able to perform regular lifts properly. All teams are TWO person registration costs covers the cost for both athletes. Divisions MALE / MALE FEMALE / FEMALE MALE / FEMALE MASTERS (35+) MALE / FEMALE Athletes should be expected to perform the following lifts/ movements before signing up for The Annihilation Games... 1 Rep Max Clean & Jerk (185/105) 1 Rep Max Snatch (115/75) 1 Rep Max Back Squat (225/155) *There will not be lifts for reps at these weights, this is just a minimum expected 1 rep max for athletes. Box Jumps/Step ups (24/20) DB Snatch (50/35) Farmers carry (70/53) KB Swings (53/35) Overhead Carry (95/65) Sled Push/Pull/Drag/ or sprint Wall Balls to 10' target (20/10) Carry odd shaped objects (70/50) at least 100 meters *These are just a few possibilities and the types of weights to expect* Entry includes 4 beers from No Label Brewery! Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placed teams in EACH event as well as the top 3 teams in the overall standings. There will also be an award for the “Spirit of Annihilation” winner; the team who shows the most guts.

Workouts

Individual (1 athlete per team) For time 400m run 35 American kettle bell swings 53/35 Cap 5 minutes Upon start athlete will complete a 400m sprint. Upon returning the athlete will perform 35 American kettle bell swings. Kettle bell will start between the legs athlete will swing the kettle bell above their head. Kettle bell must be locked out overhead and upside down. Head must come through the arms. Time cap will be 5 minutes. Score will be time. If athlete fails to complete all swings within the time cap 1 second will be added for every rep not completed.

(Individual: 1 athlete per team) 2 minute amrap Max ground to overhead 155/95 masters 135/85 Athlete will start standing tall. Upon go athlete has two minutes to complete as many reps as possible of ground to overhead. Athlete may perform any variation of clean and jerk or snatch. Athlete may touch and go or drop and reset as needed. Bar must start on the ground and make its way to the overhead position with elbows locked out and hips fully extended. Head must finish through the arms and bar must be under control at the top for rep to count. Score will be total reps completed.

(TEAM) 4 minute amrap Max calories on the ski erg Max dball over the shoulder 100/70 masters/ coed 70 Both partners will be working at the same time. One partner on the ski erg the other performing as many dball over the shoulder as possible. Partners may switch as needed but they cannot be at the same station. Dball must start on the ground athlete must lift it and get the ball over their shoulder. Ball may not be thrown to the side of the shoulder. Score will be total combined reps after 4 minutes.

(TEAM) For time Each partner must complete 1 round 50m farmers carry 70/53 10 double kb deadlift 70/53 50m farmers carry 10 double kb deadlift 50m farmers carry sprint 10 double kb deadlifts 50m farmers carry sprint 10 double kb deadlifts Time cap 6 minute Upon go athlete A will grab their kettle bells and sprint to the 50 yard cone upon arriving athlete will stop and perform 10 double kettle bell deadlifts. Both Kettle bells must touch the ground then athlete must stand all the way up to an upright position. Then athlete will carry to the 100m mark and perform 10 more kettle bell deadlifts. Athlete will turn around and carry back to the 50m cone and perform 10 kettle bell deadlifts. Athlete will then make their way back to the starting point perform 10 more kettle bell deadlifts then tag partner B who will then perform their round. Score will be time it takes for both athletes to complete their round. Cap will be 6 minutes. Every rep not completed will count as 1 second added to their time. The carry and deadlifts both count as 1 rep.

12 minute amrap 100m shuttle partner A 100m shuttle partner B 2 thrusters 95/65 masters/coed 75 100m shuttle partner A 100m shuttle partner B 4 thrusters 95/65 masters/coed 75 ....(continue increasing thrusters by 2 each round) Both partners will start behind the start line. On go partner A will run out to the turn around cone running around the cone then coming back tagging partner B. Partner B will then complete the shuttle run. Once returning either partner may pick up the bar and perform thrusters, splitting the reps however they choose. Bar will start on the ground and the bar will be cleaned into the front rack. From there athlete will perform a full range of motion front squat to press. Bar must be locked out with head through and hips extended. Squat clean may be used to initiate thruster. Thrusters may be split, but they do not have to be. After completion of the thrusters the partners will complete the shuttle run just like they beginning of the workout; then coming back and completing the increased amount of thrusters. Thrusters will increase by 2 every round until 12 minutes is up. Score will be total reps completed. Each thruster counts as 1 rep every run counts as 4 reps (2 reps per partner).

10 minute amrap Sled drag 50m (guys 90# girls 45# coed/masters 70#) 10 burpees Sled drag 50m back 20 db snatch 50/35# Sled drag 50m down 10 burpees Sled drag 50m back 20 box jumps 24/20 coed/masters 20(step ups) Upon the start partner A will drag the sled down by themselves partner B will follow down. Upon the sled crossing the 50m mark the team will perform 10 burpees. Chest must touch the ground then athlete must come up and jump and clap overhead with hips extended at the top. Reps can be split as needed. Each partner must at least do 1 rep during the set of 10. Upon completion of the burpees, partner B will drag the sled back to the start line. Once the sled crosses the start line the team will perform 20 dumbbell snatches. Dumbbell will start on the ground and finish locked out overhead near the midline and return to touch the ground for each rep. Athletes may alternate arms as needed and switch as needed, but rach athlete must do at least one rep of the 20 snatches. Upon completion of the dumbbell snatch, athlete A will drag sled down and team will complete 10 burpees (same rules apply.) Then athlete B will drag sled back and team will complete 20 box jumps, with each athlete performing at least one rep of the 20 box jumps. Box jumps are open standard. Step ups are acceptable but athlete must alternate legs and stand all the way up each rep. Athletes will continue for 10 minutes. Score will be total reps. Drags count as 1 rep. Partial drags will not count as a rep.
