RUCK THE SHUTDOWN 2020 by VETWOD
About This Competition
Welcome to RUCK THE SHUTDOWN 2020 by VETWOD!
We are so excited for this event to help us finish 2020 STRONG and TOGETHER!
This event takes place throughout December and consists of:
- Total accumulated ruck miles for the first half of the month (1st-15th)
- Total accumulated ruck miles for the second half of the month (16th-31st)
- Four bodyweight workouts, one per week (#1 is from the 1st - 8th, #2 is from the 9th - 16th, #3 is from the 17th - 24th, #4 is from the 25th - 31st)
Total of 6 scores. The ruck miles must be logged on the “MapMyRun” app (by Under Armour) and the workouts must be recorded, and the score must be logged with a link to the video.
The weight of the ruck sack is 20lbs for females and 35lbs for males.
To be added to the ruck group on the MapMyRun app, add “Sebastian Paz” as a friend on the app, look for “VETWOD- RUCK THE SHUTDOWN 2020” on the app or shoot us an email/or DM on instagram (@VETWOD). We will confirm your registration and add you to the group. If you would like to use a different app, you can but we will have to verify the records with a share or screenshot.

*Those who log a score for all 6 scores (2 rucks and the 4 bodyweight workout), will be entered to win giveaways. That’s what you get for showing up and putting the work in!

Workouts
Ruck Miles for the 1st-15th
Log your total miles for the first half of the event. The weight of the ruck should be from 20-30lbs.
Be sure to use the “MapMyRun” app by Under Armour to keep up with your miles. Add “Sebastian Paz” or look for “VETWOD- RUCK THE SHUTDOWN 2020” to be added to the group! You may use a different app, but be aware that you must show proof of your miles to verify your score.
RUCK MILES FOR THE 16th-31st
Log your total miles for the second half of the event. The weight of the ruck should be from 20-30lbs.

Workout 1 (1st to the 8th)
40-30-20-10 — 15min cap
Hop overs
Butterfly sit ups
Push ups
Jump squats
The score is the amount of time that it takes the athlete to complete the work or 15:00 +1 second for every rep not completed. Example: if the athlete had 10 reps left, their score would be 15:10.
Workout 2 (9th to the 16th)

The score is the amount of time it takes the athlete to complete the 100 burpees.
Workout 3 (17th to the 24th)
4 Rounds For Time
25 Devil press or burpees to overhead
60 alternating weighted lunges
20 weighted squats
*20/35lbs or comparable weight with DBs/sandbag/KBs
Workout 4 (25th to the 31st)
24m AMRAP
Buy-in: 100 air squats
& 50 sit-ups (this is the tie breaker)
Then Amrap:
9 pike push ups
12 alternating lunges
15 squat thrust
18 sit ups
