WARRIOR AFFILIATE LEAGUE in association with Revision Fitness presents

"BEASTS & BARBELLAS" 3-Person Co-Ed Team Functional Fitness/ CrossFit Competition

When: Saturday, May 3rd. 7:30AM-1:30PM

Where: CrossFit Palm Springs 1281 N Gene Autry Trail, Palm Springs CA

BEASTS & BARBELLAS is a 3-person Co-Ed (MMF or FFM) Functional Fitness Team Competition for athletes of all skill levels.

Get in on the FUN! and test your skills of FITNESS! Don't miss your chance to compete in this EPIC destination team event. Grab 2 friends and build your Super Team. Register early to reserve your spot.  

PRICING FEE SCHEDULE: (+processing fee)*

JAN-FEB 28: $285/Team*

MAR-APRIL 12: $300/Team*

APRIL 13-26: $325/Team*

3 DIVISIONS:  Teams consist of 3 people (2M+1F or 2F+1M)

  • MMF  Advanced  (2 Men + 1 Female)
  • MMF Open/Scaled (2 Men + 1 Female)
  • FFM  Open/Scaled (2 Women + 1 Male)

ADVANCE - Able to perform weight loads and gymnastic movements without scaling. Minimum requirements Snatch 155#/105#, C+J 185#/125#, Deadlift 275#/205#, Bar Muscle Ups, Handstand Walk/HSPU, Toes 2 bar, C2B pull ups. Double-Unders.

OPEN/Scaled - Moderate/Light Weight-loads, with modified gymnastics movements. Minimum Requirements Snatch 115#/65#, C+J 135#/85#, Deadlift 185#/155#, Wall walks, Toes 2 bar, chin-over bar pull up. Single-Unders.

TO REGISTER:

One person registers and pays for the team (team captain). Have team members' names, emails, shirt sizes, birthdates, etc. available when registering.

Entry fee covers: Team entry fee for 3 persons, (3) Event T-shirts, (1) Team Name Plate [if registration deadline met], Four Workouts with 9 separate scored events, and lots of FUN with the fitness community. 

 

THERE ARE NO REFUNDS OR TRANSFERS TO FUTURE EVENTS. NO EXCEPTIONS. Athlete substitution accepted up until event day, by having your new athlete sign our waiver form onsite prior to start of event.

Workouts

WOD #1 – “3 BARS of MISERY”  
With a 10:00 running clock, perform a heavy :

     (E1)  A.   3-REP Bench Press (Athlete 3)
     (E2)  B.   4-REP Front Squat (Female Only)
     (E3)  C.   5-REP Deadlift (Male Only) 


Team will have a total of 10 minutes to establish a heavy lift for all 3 movements listed above. Athletes may switch at any time. Each athlete will perform only one movement, and cannot repeat a movement already performed by another teammate. Front squat will be performed by a female, while the DL will be performed by a male, and the bench press will be performed by the remaining 3rd teammate. This event has three separate scores: (1) load 3-rep Bench press, (2) load 4-rep front squat, and (3) 5-rep deadlift. Time cap: 10 minutes. 

Tie Breaker – If athlete successfully performs 3-rep Bench, 4-rep FS, or 5-rep DL @ maximal load of 410 lbs., 1 lbs will be added to athlete's score with every subsequent repetition performed within time cap.

Only one athlete may work at one time. Athletes may switch at any time. Score is fastest time to finish 2000m Row. Time cap: 12:00

(E8)  WOD #3 - “TOO FAST, 3 FURIOUS” 


2 Rounds for time:  
12 DB snatch, weight load #1 (ATHLETE 1)
  8 DB snatch, weight load #2 (ATHLETE 2)
  6 DB snatch, weight load #3 (ATHLETE 3)
 
(2M+1F) - 35#/70#/90# (ADV) | 30#/50#/70# (OPEN)
(2F+1M) - 30#/35#/70# (ADV) | 25#/30#/50# (OPEN)
 
Workout Description: On 3-2-1..Go! A1 enters the GRID and performs 12 single DB snatch, once the 12th DB snatch is performed, A1 will tag in A2. A2 will then enter GRID and perform 8 single DB snatches at a heavier load. Once the 8th DB snatch is performed, A2 will tag A3. A3 will then enter GRID and perform 6 single DB snatch. Athlete may use same arm or alternate arm as needed.  This will repeat for 2 rounds. Once all DB snatches are completed in the final round, team will then run to the finish line. Once the last athlete crossed the finish line, time will be taken. Score is the fastest time to complete DB Snatch Speed Ladder. 1-second will be added to team’s time for any reps not competed within the time cap. Time cap: 4 minutes.
