About This Competition



Brazen Athletics presents the annual Brazen Cup!

This is a same-sex partner competition with Rx and Scaled divisions.

There is a 15 team cap for each division (Rx Male, Rx Female, Scaled Male and Scaled Female), so please do not hesitate to register if you are looking to compete this year!

There are NO REFUNDS, but you are welcome to transfer your registration to another individual and/or team.

Breakfast is included and is sponsored by the Original Pancake House of Caldwell.

WODs: (Disclaimer: WODs are subject to slight changes)

WOD 1
9:00 total

4:00 to complete
90 wall balls #30/20, #20/14
Then
5:00 to score as many points as possible
1 min max bar muscle ups/C2B
1 min max C2B/pullups
3 minutes max pullups/jumping pullups

Bar MU/C2B = 4 points
C2B/pullups = 2 points
pullups/jumping pullups = 1 point

*scaled movements in italics*For each wall ball not completed in 4:00 there will be a 1 point deduction to your score. Score is total points accumulated in the 5:00 minus any deductions.

WOD 2 + 3
10:00 total

0 - 2:30
Max burpee box jump overs/step overs

2:30 - 10:00
Each Partner hits a max Clean and Jerk or Snatch
*if athlete chooses to snatch it counts as 1.35 for Male and 1.45 for Female

*Score for WOD 1 is total burpees, score for WOD 2 is total weight lifted. Athletes get as many attempts as they have time for

WOD 4 + 5
12:00 Total

400m run
30 Stone to Shoulder #100/70, 70/50
20 Shoulder to Overhead #135/95, #95/65
10 Thruster #135/95, #95/65

Then in time remaining

Each partner establishes 3 Rep Max back squat

*Partners run together and can split up reps any way they want. WOD 4 score is time on the chipper, WOD 5 score is total weight each person hits for 3 reps. If there is a failed rep of in the set of 3, the score is 0. Athletes can have as many attempts as they have time for.
