About This Competition

The Event

This is a 2-day functional fitness event in the heart of Lancashire and will take place in the highly refurbished CrossFit DeltaFox Box.

The divisions will include;

RX (CrossFit Open Standard / Not elite)

Intermediate 

Fitness (Considered scaled & beginners)

Masters 39+ 

(All same sex pairs)

Our competition will be inclusive yet challenging, creative & imaginative as seen in past years with our flag ship event. 

Athletes who have competed in past years include Games & Regional level athletes such as Steven Fawcett, Will Kane, Dave Shorunke, Spencer Whitley, Oakley Woodhouse & Cathy Wilson to name but a few. 

This year event we will be supported by Wolverson Fitness, NOCCO & Compex and we aim to bring to you a partner event like no other. 

Venue

A large facility located close to Blackburn within easy access to the M65. 

A recently refurbished facility that includes a kitchen supplying breakfast, lunch and take home meals. (menu to be confirmed)

180 Project

The Box is the home of 180 Project, a concept that takes those battling addiction and mental health issues and using the power of CrossFit helps transform lives and turns addicts into athletes.

Your ticket purchase will go towards funding this life saving project and helping those break the cycle of addiction.

Athletes will complete the following chipper

50 Burpee-Box-Overs 48"

75m OH Carry

50 Axle HC & STOH 40/30kg

50 Hanging Crunches

50 American KB Swings 24/16kg

  • Athletes can split reps however they feel

Time taken to complete all work.

If work not completed within timecap then the reps completed will form the score (NOT reps left to complete)

Athletes will complete the following chipper

50 Burpee-Box-Overs 48"

50 Weighted GHDSU 9/6kg / GHDS (mast/interm)

25m HSW / HSW or 75m OH Carry (mast/interm)

50 DHSPU 4/2"/ HSPU (mast/interm)

50 T2B

5 Legless Rope Climbs / Rope Climbs (mast/interm)

  • Athletes can split reps however they feel

Score

Time taken to complete all work.

If work not completed within timecap then the reps completed will form the score (NOT reps left to complete)

Timecap 12mins

Athletes will complete YGIG of the below triplet

30/24 Cal Row

20/15 Cal AAB

10 Shuttle Sprints

  • Athlete must complete full round before tagging next athlete

Score

Total reps completed is the score

1 Round Male = 60reps

5 Round Male = 300reps

1 Round Female = 49reps

5 Round Female = 245reps

Timecap: 6 mins

Each athlete to record a max weight of the following barbell complex.

Snatch + Hang Snatch

  • Any variation of snatch allowed
  • Only 1 athlete to lift at any one time
  • Any lifts made outside of the time cap will NOT count

Score

Athlete 1 max lift + Athlete 2 max lift = score

 

Timecap 12 mins

2 mins rest from Workout 1

100 Snatches For Time

  • Any variation of snatch allowed
  • Athletes can swap at any stage
  • Only one athlete working at one time.

Weights

RX:  60/40kg

Intermediate: 50/35kg

Fitness: 40/25

Score

Time taken to complete workout = score

If work is not completed then score is total reps completed (not total reps left over)

Time Cap 8mins

Athletes will complete ascending ladder of the following couplet

Bar Muscle Up/CTB/Pull-Up

DB Thrusters

Reps:  1-1.2-2.3-3 etc

  • Athletes can split reps however they wish
  • Only one athlete can work at one time.
  • Score is total reps accumlated in the ladder

Gymnastics + Weights

RX - BMU / 2 x DB 22.5/15kg

Interm - CTB / 2 x DB 22.5/15kg

Fitness - Pull-ups or Banded Pull Up (ratio 2:1) / 2 x DB @ 15/10

Score

Add up total reps (not rounds) completed within the time cap.

Example:  If both athletes complete 1+1, 2+2, 3+3, 4+4, 5 then there score would be 25

Timecap 3mins

Athlete 1:  Max KB Hang Snatch

Athlete 2: Max Sandbag Over Shoulder

After 3 mins athletes swap stations and get to work

Weights

RX, Inter/Masters:  KB 24/16 - SB 60/40kg

Fitness: KB 16/12 - SB 40/30kg

  • Each athlete working for 3 mins at same time
  • If KB stops moving the workout ends
  • End of 3 mins each athlete swaps and Part 3B begins

50-40-30-20-10 Wallballs

50 Double Unders (single unders for fitness)

  • Only one athlete can work at any one time
  • Split reps however you want

Score

Time taken to complete the work.

If work not completed within time cap then total reps completed is the score (NOT the remaining reps)

Timecap 8mins

Athletes will complete as many rounds + reps (calculated as total reps) within timecap of the following couplet

10 Cleans 

20 Pistol Squats/ OH DB Lunge / Air Lunges

Add 10/5kg to clean after each round

  • Athletes can split reps however they want
  • Only one athlete to work at anyone time
  • Athletes to add weight to bar NOT judge

Weight + Movement

RX - 60/40kg + Pistol Squats

Interm/Masters - 50/35kg + OH DB Lunges

Fitness - 40/25kg + Air Lunges

Score

Total reps completed within time cap.

1 full round = 30 reps

5 full rounds = 150 reps
