Battle Of The Box - Team Event 2021
About This Competition
Battle Of The Box Teams Event is upon us! We are the ONLY competition that offers events for the novice AND elite!
July 31st, 2021 at Thanksgiving Point, the battle for fittest team in Utah will begin!
The teams of two are made up of M/M or F/F.
We will have 3 divisions:
-RX
-Intermediate
-General Fitness
*You can find the division standards under the registration of each division or at battleofthebox.com*
Remember, your box will earn points for how many teams compete & where they place! The Box with the MOST points takes home the coveted traveling trophy...THE GOLDEN PLATE! Crossfit Draper is in current possession.
We will have 4 WODS with a finalist workout for the top 4 individuals in each division. Workouts will be released week of May 15th.
Must register before July 12th to receive a shirt.
No Refunds. If you are unable to compete, you can transfer your spot to a friend.

Workouts
Max Calories over 7 minutes
Time cap: 7 minutes

Thrusters 135/95 - 95/65 - 65/35
Chest to Bar - Pull ups - Ring rows
This will have two scores – F1 = Time wod is finished; F2 = calories biked.
If time capped score F1 will be CAP + reps F2 will remain calories biked
*One partner working at a time on Fat Fran; reps can be broken up however team desires
* “Resting” partner will be accumulating calories on the assault bike
Assault bike – calories will be written down with what is on the screen AT the buzzer – not an accumulation of
the last pull
* “Resting” athlete may start on the bike; but hands must not be on the handles and feet must be on the pegs
until “3-2-1 GO”
*Judges will NOT be touching the assault bike – if you reset your screen on accident – sucks for you:)
Double Dip
Time cap: 20 min.

20 Burpee Box (facing) Jump Overs 24/20
*With remaining time complete max handstand walks (scaled: wheelbarrow walk) 1 rep = 5 ft
*This WOD will have 2 scores – 1a: finish time for chipper & 1b: handstand walk “reps”
*Partners can split up the work however they want; but must finish all the reps of one movement before moving on to the next
*Partners will tag in and out; with the exception of the partner deadlifts
*For handstand walks – 5 feet = 1 rep
Athletes will handstand walk as far as possible with remaining time upon finishing the chipper.
Scaled will complete wheel burrow walks.
5 Feet = 1 Rep
Time cap: 8 minutes
COMPLEX:
Snatch
Hang Snatch
OH Squat
*ALL without dropping the bar (or it is a no rep)
*Partners will combine their total weight for score
*Teams will use one bar
*Entire complex must be completed prior to the buzzer
*Snatch can be power or squat
-Hang is considered a starting position above the knee and below the hip
- Snatch: full hip extension, arms locked out, and head through at the top
- Hang snatch: start above the knee, below the hip: full hip extension, arms locked out and head through at the top
- OH squat: hip crease breaks parallel at the bottom; full hip extension at the top
“Barn Tag”
Time cap: 14 minutes
3 Rounds:
A1: 200-meter run
A2: 200-meter run
12 synchro Toes to Bar (24 knee raises)
A1: 24 WB 20/14-20/14-14/10
A2: 24 WB
-Partners will tag in and out for run and WB; A2 MUST tag A1 prior to starting synchro rig movement
*A1 MUST stay A1 throughout the entire workout
- T2B: ALL the toes must touch the bar at the same time; feet must pass behind bar path at the bottom - Knee raises – hip crease must break parallel; feet must pass behind bar path at the bottom
- Wall ball: Must hit the target; hips must break parallel in bottom of squat. Rep starts in the squat position
*Partners will cross the finish line together
Plate Run
Teams will have 7 minutes to move 400 pounds of plates on a route of 200 meters.
*Plates will have a starting point and an end point where they will be placed on a black mat after the 200-meter running route around the barn
*Partners must stay together on the run
*Plates can be held however the athlete desires
*Athletes may run with more than one plate at a time
*Plates must be stacked not “thrown” into designated area
*Each team will have the same plate weights to move
*Score will be the time it takes to move all 400 pounds OR will be “time cap + weight” moved.
