About This Competition

We are celebrating our 10th year anniversary of producing Battleground SoCal. 

We have once again partnered with LA County Sheriff's Department and will be holding Battleground SoCal 2022 at S.T.A.R.S. Center April 20, 2024.

If the athlete finishes the above work and time still remains, athlete will complete as many rounds as possible of the following until time expires:

2 scores- Time it took athlete to complete 21-15-9 and 2nd score is rounds and reps for 5,5,1 

12 Min AMRAP:

At the count of 3,2,1 go! Team members will perform a 25 ft handstand walk buy in. Teams will then have the remaining time to complete the following:  (Beginner/Int will go straight into 21-3-15-3-9-3)

9 Worm Clean and Jerks

 While 2 members are performing worm movements, the 3rd team member must be in a handstand hold position (beginner/Master beginner divisions will hold plank). Reps will not be counted if 3rd member comes out of HS hold position. 

While Team member is performing wall walks, other 2 members must be holding worm on shoulders. Wall walks will not be counted if worm is dropped.

300M Obstacle Course Run

 

Obstacle Course Consists of 300m run, wire crawl, 2 obstacles

There will be a 15-minute time cap.

3 Minute (Partner A)

1 Rep Max Snatch 

3 Minute (Partner B)

1 Rep Max Thruster

3 Minute (Partner C)

1 Rep Max Clean

Each team member is allowed to do only one lift. 3 Separate Scores will be awarded. 

IMMEDIATELY AFTER 

7 MIN AMRAP: 

20 Kettlebell Hang Snatch (10 Each Arm) (RX Masters RX 70/54, Intermediate & Masters Intermediate 54/35, Beginner & Masters Beginner 35/25)

20 Kettlebell BOX Step Ups (Front Rack) (Box Height in inches: RX & Masters RX 24,24 Intermediate & Masters Intermediate 24/20, Beginner & Masters Beginner 20/20) Weight same as hang snatch

5 Ring Muscle Ups (Intermediate & Masters Intermediate 25 Pull-ups, Beginner & Masters Beginner 25 Burpee Bar Taps

+ MAX CAL ROW (One partner will be rowing while the other 2 partners work.)

Athletes will have 7 minutes to do as many rounds and reps as possible. Also, one team member will begin on the rower for MAX CALS. Teams MAY switch in and out however they like.

This workout will have 5 separate scores.

4 Min to find 

1 Rep Max Thruster

Athletes may attempt as many lifts as they would like in the 4 minutes, however, the 7-minute AMRAP will begin immediately after the 4-minute period.

IMMEDIATELY AFTER 

7 MIN AMRAP: 

20 Kettlebell Hang Snatch (RX Masters RX 70/54, Intermediate & Masters Intermediate 54/35, Beginner & Masters Beginner 35/25)

then 3-Min MAX CAL ROW (Athletes will try accumulating as many calories on the rower as possible in 3 minutes.)
