About This Competition

 

The Nashville fit Games Presents : The Gauntlet.

A 2-person team competition. Teams of 2 may represet their local gym/brand for a chance to win The Fittest Gym Cup presented by Clean Eatz Nashville. There is no limit of teams per gym or brand.

One work out. 4 stages. Score is total time at each stage.

Stage rules/standards

  • At the start of 3-2-1 GO, both athletes will begin a 600m run.
  • Run must be completed with a partner.  Each partner to run holding onto assigned rope for the duration of 600m.
  • Bike calories may be split however w/one athlete working at a time.
  • Box jump overs may be split however w/one athlete working at a time.  Box jump must start with both feet taking off and both feet in contact with top of box.  Rep is counted when athlete lands on opposite side of box.  Single leg take off or hopping onto box with one leg is not allowed. *A minimum of 3 consecutive reps per partner is required before switching.* Lateral or facing box is acceptable. 24 inch box for competitve division/20 inch box for fitness division.
  • Time is recorded when either partner finshes the 60th box jump over.  Remaining time in 10:00 clock will be utilized at rest before beginning Stage 2 of the Gauntlet.

GAUNTLET STAGE 2: 10-20:00

600m Run

50 Dball Clean and Press

Stage rules/standards

  • At the start of 3-2-1 GO, both athletes will begin a 600m run.
  • Run must be completed with a partner.  Each partner to run holding onto assigned rope for the duration of 600m.
  • Once run is complelted athletes may begin 50 Dball Clean and Press
  • Dball Clean and press may be split however w/one athlete working at a time.
  • Dball must begin on the floor.  Dball must then make contact with chest or shoulder before pressing overhead.  Arms must be at full extension/lockout w/ knees, hips and elbows vertical for rep to be counted.  Strict, Push or Jerk are all accepted varations of the "press" portion of Dball clean and press.
  • Competitive Division will use 100# for men, 70# for women
  • Fitness Division will use 70# for men, 50# for women.
  • Time is recorded when either partner finshes the 50th Dball clean and press Remaining time on 10-20:00 clock will be utilized at rest before beginning Stage 3 of the Gauntlet.

Stage rules/standards

  • At the start of 3-2-1 GO, both athletes will begin a 600m run.
  • Run must be completed with a partner.  Each partner to run holding onto assigned rope for the duration of 600m.
  • Row calories may be split however w/one athlete working at a time.
  • Lunges must be synchronized with both athletes knee contacting the ground at the same time and both athletes reaching full extension at the same time. 
  • A full vertical knee, hip and upper body lockout must be demonstrated for rep to count. 
  • Each athlete must hold a dumbell above the waist in any fashion.  Shoulder rack, goblet hold and traditional front rack are all acceptable.
  • Competitive division: 50# for men, 35# for women
  • Fitness Division: 35# for men, 25# for women.
    Time is recorded when both athletes finish the 60th synchro lunge.  Remaining time in 20-30:00 clock will be utilized at rest before beginning Stage 4 of the Gauntlet.

Stage rules/standards

At the start of 3-2-1 GO, both athletes will begin a 600m run.
Run must be completed with a partner.  Each partner to run holding onto assigned rope for the duration of 600m.
Bench press reps may be split however w/one athlete working at a time. Bench Press reps must contact the chest at the bottom of the rep and demonstrate a controlled lock out at the top of each rep for completion.
Synchro line facing burpees must be completed with athlete's chest and thighs on the ground, while hands and shoulders are behind the line at the same time to start the burpee. A two footed hop over the line with athletes leaving the ground at the same time and landing on two feet will end each repetition. On the completion of the 30th line facing burpee the teams final working time is taken.
