Battle Cancer Dublin 2020
About This Competition
After the overwhelming reception to Battle Cancer Dublin 2019, we're coming back for more!
No qualifiers, no advanced gymnastics, and no extreme standards, our workouts are designed so that professional athletes may compete next to experienced gym-goers, first-timers and cancer survivors.
Standards are as follows for men/women, all weights are in kilograms:
Kettlebell 20/12, Dumbbell 22.5/15, Sand Bags 30 for both men and women
Expect our iconic Battle Cancer live DJ sets, mass warm up and incredible vibe, along with special guests, food vendors and brand partners.

If one of the team is injured or unable to compete for any reason, you can just bring a replacement on the day. We only ask that the new athlete or athletes sign a waiver to compete. We cannot change the t-shirt size requested. Teams of four only - no extra substitutes.
Sorry, we don't offer refunds under any circumstances but you’re welcome to sell your ticket to another team.

Workouts
Part A
300m Bike Sprint
30m Sandbag Retrieve (Drop Bag Over Line)
(Each athlete completes this once, one at a time replay style)

60m Sandbag Sprint (Drop Bag Over Line)
(Each athlete completes this once, one at a time replay style)
Once the final athlete drops the bag over the line the score for Part A is taken (MM:SS) and they can move onto Part B
Part B
Max Sandbag Carry Lengths Time Remaining.
1 Length = 60m
One at a time each athlete must carry a bag 60m. Once the bag has been dropped over the line the next athlete can go. Continue in the time remaining for as many lengths as possible.
(1 athlete working at a tim, 1 resting athlete must be held off the ground throughout)
To Be Announced on the day
9 min AMRAP
20 Dumbbell Ground To Overhead (Each Athlete 1 at a time)
40 Synchro Russian KettleBell Swings (2 Athletes)
60 Synchro Sit Ups (4 Athletes)
80 Synchro Lunges (2 Athletes)
100 Partner Jumps (1 athlete at a time)
Max Under Overs Time Remaining
*Between each movement change teams must complete 5 under overs.
Part A
Time taken for all four athletes to complete 1 x 200m Sprint lap each.
One athlete at a time sprints 200m. Athletes must tag the next athlete. All 4 athletes must run once.
Socre for Part A is the time take to complete all 4 laps (MM:SS)
One completiton of Part A team will then move into Part B
Part B
Total distance of special team sprint. Two athletes will work at the same time buldig total distance. Every 50m covered = 1 rep. The two athletes working for distance can switich as often as the wish.
The resting pair will be holding one athlete off the ground. The two resting athletes can switch as often as then wish.
After 200m athletes can change pairs.
9 min AMRAP
Max Meters Across 2 machines
*Everytime an athlete changes on a machine = 3 Burpees over the rower for the athlete switching off that particular machine. Or 3 burpees for the athletes switching off of that particular Erg.
The other machine can continue to be used while athletes on the other machine keep working.
Score = total meters on both machined added together
