The 6 Min. Kettlebell Snatch Challenge
About This Competition
6 Min. Snatch Challenge
Submit your lift online anytime April 25-30
Event explained:
- You accrue 1 rep with each fixation.
- Fixation occurs at the top of each rep:
- Knees and hips are fully extended. Elbow of lifting arm is extended to the lifter’s greatest capacity at the start of the set. It will be a “no count” if the elbow deviates from max. extension.
- Hips & shoulders are square. There is no excessive rotation in the hips and shoulders.
- Bicep is by the ear consistently with each rep.
- Kettlebell stops moving. (No sway or wobble)
- Note: If you are new to 'fixation' at the top of the snatch, expect it to take 1-2+ seconds to achieve. You can submit video for coaching in the Private Athlete's group.
- Consider this: In a in-person competition, you hold the fixation until the judge showed you it was a good rep.
- You can only switch hands only once.
- The hand switch must occur at the top of a swing.
- You can place the kettlebell down to rest.

When to Expect my Official Score?
After you submit your lift, your scores will post to the leaderboard. Please note that these scores are not official until they are reviewed by a judge. Our aim is to get your official scores published ASAP! Please be patient and allow for 7 - 14 days for your official score.
The leaderboard will say "PENDING REVIEW" until ALL scores have been judged.
You will receive an email when your lift has been judged. The email will clearly state the total number of reps achieved.
If the judge makes changes to your score, your leaderboard listing will update as soon as the judge makes the change.
U.S. Tax Compliance: If you win a cash prize and you are not a U.S. citizen, you must complete a W-8 BEN and return it to {var:organizer_email} within 7 days of announcing the winner. You will NOT receive your cash prize if you do not do this. Also, in order to comply with U.S. tax laws 30% of the prize will be withheld for taxes. U.S. citizens do not need to complete additional forms and are expected to cite their winnings accordingly when filing their taxes.
How do I get my prize? Cash prizes will be sent via PayPal or Venmo. The transaction fees charged by these services will be subtracted from the total prize amount.
Upon registration, you will receive a link to a private group where you can ask questions of judges, submit video for form checks, and meet your fellow competitors from around the world!
