Workouts

WORKOUT 1:

1A) 1 Rep Max Bench Press

In 7:00, both partners must establish a 1 Rep Max Bench


SCORE: Bench weight for each partner as a percentage of bodyweight


1B) Starting at 7:00: 

For Time:

60 Med Ball Box Step-Overs (split between partners)


SCORE: time to complete 60 reps


Workout Flow: At 0:00, both partners will be at the bench press station with an empty bar. In 7:00, partners may load the bar and attempt a heavy 1 rep bench. Partners may take turns with attempts and will report their final weight to their judge. Any attempts must be completed in 7:00 to count.
Starting immediately at the 7:00 mark, teams will begin completing 60 med ball box step overs for time. Final finish time will be record by a judge to submit. 
Standards:
Bench: Rep begins with arms locked out and bar unracked. Bar must make contact with the chest. Rep finishes with arms locked out above the chest. You MUST have your partner spotting for the rep to count
Med ball box step-overs: Rep begins with both feet on one side of the box. Both feet must touch the top of the box. Athlete must step down (NOT jump) and both feet touch the ground on the other side of the box. Med ball can be held in any fashion. Athlete may not push off on their legs with their arms.

WORKOUT 1:

WORKOUT 2:

In 10:00:

400m Run with Partner

300 ft Walking Lunges (split between partners)

20 Synchronized Burpees

Max Calorie Row in remaining time


SCORE: Total Calories


Workout Flow: At 0:00, both partners will be at the starting line to begin their 400m run together. Partners must stay together on the run. ONLY after both partners have returned may they begin the lunges. Partners will lunge 1 at a time in 25 ft. increments. Partners may switch at a minimum of 50ft covered. 
After completing lunges, partners will advance to synchronized burpees performed together.
After completing burpees, partners will advance and finish on the rowing machine with time remaining. Partners may switch in any fashion on the rower. 
Standards:
Run: partners will hold a band together to ensure they are not separated. 
Lunges: knee must touch the ground on the lunge. Hips must completely lock out in between reps. Athlete may not push off on their leg with the arms when lunging. 
Burpees: partners must have chest to the ground at the same time, then jump off the ground at the same time. Hands must touch behind the head for each rep. If partners are off synch, the rep does not count. 
Rower: athletes may not touch the monitor on the rowing machine, only the judge.
