About This Competition

If you've been hanging for a comp, this is it!!
After a year off in lockdown, we are excited to host you at our brand new facility in Thornton for our mixed pairs competition in June.
Grab your favourite WOD hubby/wife and strap in for a day of fun.
We promise plenty of workout time, well thought-out events and plenty of space, good people and good times

*Mixed Pairs teams of 2.

*3 divisions: Open, Advanced and Masters (over 40).

*Workouts and movement standards will be released prior to Game Day.

*Registration cost $140 per team. 

*Whilst we don't offer refunds we are happy for you to substitute athletes to fill your spot in the same division. Please email info@crossfitorigin.com.au to let us know.

Workouts

4 TEAMS:
30 synchro single DB hang clean and jerk @ 30/22.5kg (Advanced), 22.5/15kg (Open)
30m DB OH lunge (7.5m out + 7.5m back x 2)

3 TEAMS:
60m HS walk (Adv.) – (7.5m out + 7.5m back x 2 each) (relay), 10 synchro wall walks (Op.)
30m DB OH lunge (7.5m out + 7.5m back x 2)

2 TEAMS:
50 cal ski - 15/10 x 2 each (relay)
12 synchro deadball/sandbag to shoulder @ 70/40kg (Adv.), 50/30kg (Op.)

The combined age of both Masters athletes will be used as a handicap score.

It will be the age of both athletes on comp day. 

Athletes will have 45 seconds to complete a successful lift and progress as far through the ladder in the following complex:

Advanced: Snatch + Hang Snatch + Overhead Squat 

*Tie Break: Max reps Overhead Squats

Open/Masters: Clean + Hang Clean + Front Squat

*Tie Break: Max reps Front Squats

For Time (13 min time cap) 

Complete 120 Calories on the Rogue Echo Bike.

Partners can swap as desired. 

Immediately following Workout 1 - in the time remaining of the 13 minute cap complete the following:

AMRAP

6 Synchro Devil's Press 22.5/15kg (2 x DB's for Advanced, 1 x DB for Open/Masters)

6 DB Box Step Overs (Alternating rounds with partner)

Box Height is 20 inch for M/F in all divisions

3 minute AMRAP

Max reps Bar Muscle Ups (Advanced)

Max reps Toes to Bar (Open/Masters)

One team mate is working at a time. 

For Time (10 min cap)

35 Cal Row

25 Chest to Bar Pullups / Synchro Wall Balls

15 Synchro Deadlifts

12 Synchro Hang Power Cleans

9 Synchro Shoulder to Overhead

12 Synchro Hang Power Cleans

15 Synchro Deadlifts

25 Chest to Bar Pullups / Synchro Wall Balls

35 Cal Row

*Barbell weight 

Advanced 70/45

Open/Masters 50/30
