About This Competition

The CFB Throwdown is a team competition with teams of 4 (MM/FF) with 2 categories:


  • Scaled
  • RX


There will be 3 workouts on the day, with one workout having a part A and B, therefore 4 scoring opportunities for each team.

The aim is to provide a competition where you leave feeling accomplished competing with all areas of fitness being tested to identify the most well rounded teams on the day.


Skill requirements for scaled

Barbell cycling of 40/25kg barbells and olympic lifting movements

Dumbbells 15kg/12.5kg

Basic gymnastics movements, e.g. hanging knee raises, bar hang, scaled wall walk, jumping pull up


Skill requirements for RX

Barbell cycling of 50/35kg barbells and olympic lifting movements

Dumbbells 22.5kg/15kg

Gymnastics movements, e.g. pull-ups, toes to bar, wall walk, bar hang, handstand push up


General format

Mixed modal work - your typical CF workout

Monostructural - endurance based

Heavy complex

In teams of 2 complete max calories on rower and SkiErg within 5mins.

Every minute on the minute starting with minute 0 team of 4 completes 5 synchronised down-ups.

In the remaining time max reps synchronised Toes to Bar in same pairs as in WOD 1 Part A.

1 RM Macho Man (3 Power Cleans + 3 Front Squats + 3 Shoulder to Overhead)

2mins AMREP in a male/female team synchronised Thrusters @50/35kg.
