About This Competition

NORWEGIAN CROSSFIT® SUMMER THROWDOWN 2022

Grab your friends and get ready for a unique summer experience! This event has become a staple in the Norwegian competition calendar!

COMPETITION SETUP
The competiton will run for 2 days.
All athletes will compete in teams of 3 males, 3 females or a mix anyhow (F/F/M or F/M/M - the programming will be adjusted for gender mix)
There will be 2 divisions:
INTERMEDIATE will compete all day Friday and half day Saturday.

RX will compete half day Saturday and all day Sunday.

There is no qualifier for this event, you simply need to
grab a couple of friends and SIGN UP!

 

WHERE & WHEN
The competition takes place at magnificent Storefjell Resort in Gol, Norway.
INTERMEDIATE: Friday & Saturday August 12-13 2022
RX: Saturday & Sunday August 13-14 2022

 

PRELIMINARY SCHEDULE
INTERMEDIATE:
FRIDAY: Check-in 10.00-12:00, briefing 12:00, 3 events

SATURDAY: 2 Events & prize ceremony

RX:
SATURDAY: Check-in 10.00-12.00, briefing 12.00, 2 events

SUNDAY: 3 Events and prize ceremony. End approx 19:00

 

WHAT TO EXPECT: Intermediate 
An intermediate athlete will be expected to perform reps at weights up to and including:
Snatch, Overhead squat, Thrusters 50/35kg
Clean and jerk, squat cleans 60/40kg
Deadlift 100/70kg
*Please note that these are not the maximum loads you should be able to lift for 1 rep. They are the maximum loads that we will program for a workout with multiple reps.

An intermediate athlete will be expected to perform these skills for multiple reps in a workout:
TTB
Pull ups
C2B pull ups
HSPU
Double unders

An intermediate athlete may be required to perform some of the following skills in low volume:
Handstand walk
Bar muscle ups
Pistol squat
Rope climb

 

WHAT TO EXPECT: RX
An RX athlete will be expected to perfrom reps at weights up to and including:

Snatch, Overhead squat 80/55kg
Thrusters 60/40kg
Clean and jerk, squat cleans 100/70kg
Deadlift 140/100kg
*Please note that these are not the maximum loads you should be able to lift for 1 rep. They are the maximum loads that we will program for a workout with multiple reps.

An RX athlete will be expected to be able to complete reps of all gymnastics & skill movements seen in the Crossfit Open.

ACCOMMODATION
Book your stay at the athlete hotel Storefjell Resort at storefjell.no

HOW TO TRAVEL
Storefjell Resort is located in the middle of the Norwegian mountains.

We recommend flying to Oslo Airport Gardermoen.

Oslo Airport Gardermoen - Gol Station

Send your arrival time to resepsjon@storefjell.no
They will send a car to pick you up and drive from Gol up to the resort for a small fee.

 

REFUND POLICY
No refunds will be given to participants who are unable to come due to Covid-19 travel restrictions or symptoms.

If the event is canceled due to Covid-19 restrictions from the Norwegian government, the event will be postponed and all athletes invited to compete on the new date. However, it will not be possible to get a refund.

If an athlete is unable to come for any reason, the spot can be transferred to another athlete until August 1st 2022. However, it will not be possible to get a refund.
