South Coast Carnage Totals
About This Competition
South Coast Carnage is bringing to you....
the TOTALS & HYBRID Total
The totals is a day of lifting. Weather you're a CrossFitter, Weightlifter, Powerlifter or simply train the foundation lifts. Then we will have a barbell lift for you
For the Hybrid option, You will compete throughout the full day and be judged on all 5 lifts. Your score will be your heaviest successful attempt from every lift performed added together to make one singular total in KG's
On the day we have 2 competitve choices:
- Weightlifting Total
- CrossFit Total
The weightlifting total constists of acheiving a Heavy single in the Snatch & Clean and Jerk. Both heaviest successful lifts on the day will be combined together to make a Total in KG's
The CrossFit total consists of acheiving a Heavy single in the Backsquat, Shoulder Press & Deadlift. All 3 heaviest successful lifts on the day will be combined together to make a Total in KG's
Here's how it'll work:
You'll be weighed when you arrive prior to competing, then whatever you acheive in your total, this will be inputted through the Sinclair formula to determined who is the strongest competitor within your catagory 'pound for pound'
- Cataogries will be Male or Female
- The barbell will be rising in weight and cannot come back down once the weight is on
- Each person will have 1 minute to lift, with a maximum of 3 attempts within that minute
- Each person will get three 1 minute attempts per lift allowing the barbell weight to increase
- You must chose a starting weight for all of your lifts in the morning / at the weigh in
- You will be called to the platform area for your lift when the barbell hits the chosen weight
Now, that being said IF you would like to participate but not compete, that is fine. You can register and let us know you do not want to compete, simply want to attempt the heavy singles with the crowd behind you...that's cool with us.
Also if you dont want to compete and only want to try a singular lift (a clean for example) then this is also fine. Simply register for the Total your lift sits within, and let us know you only want to try a specific lift. You can always let us know on the day if you have decided to only attempt the one lift
On the day we will have the weightlifting total first in the AM with the CrossFit total after (no later than mid day)
There will be Medals for all 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finshers
There will be no refunds, however you can forward your ticket onto another person if you can no longer attend. You must let us know the change so we can update the system
The safety of yourselves is essential to us on the day so all guidlines and rules must be adhered too
Any questions please feel free to reach out to us via our email, facebook or instagram accounts
We look forward to seeing you on the day to sling some tin!
