"Freedom" - RX

5 Rounds for Time

15 Synchro Toe To Bar

10 Cleans* (split)

*Barbell Loading:

R1: 155/105

R2: 185/125

R3: 205/145

R4: 225/155

R5: 245/165

Workout Flow:

Both athletes will be at the starting position of one hand touching the wall. At 3,2,1, Go! both athletes will move together and perform 15 synchro toe to bars, these reps do not have to be unbroken. Upon completion of the toe to bars, both athletes will move to barbell station 1 together. Atheletes must complete 10 cleans partitioned however they choose. Once the minimum work requirement has been completed, athletes are required to advance their barbell forward into station 2 before returning to the rig for the toe to bars. Athletes may change the weights on the barbell before or after the toe to bars. After completing the next set of toe to bars, the athletes will move up to station 2 and complete another set of 10 cleans at the new weight. Again ensuring that the minimum requirements are met before moving back to the toe to bars. This will continue until all reps at all weights have been completed. Athletes will then move forward to cross the designated finish line.

Toe To Bar Standards:

Both athletes must hang from the pull-up bar with arms fully extended at the bottom of the movement. Both athletes must touch the bar with their toes at the same time, with both feet making contact between the hands simultaneously.

Clean Standards:

During the clean, the barbell begins on the ground and must be lifted from the ground, to the shoulders in one motion. A muscle clean, power clean, split clean, or squat clean may be used, as long as the barbell comes up to the rack position on the shoulders. The rep is finished when both feet return under the athlete, the hips are fully extended and the athlete's elbows are forward of the barbell. In this portion EACH athlete must complete one sucessfull clean at EACH weight. This means that one partner cannot perform all of the cleans in a given round. Reps can be split however the athletes choose outside of the minimum work requirement.

Additional Information:

12 Minute time cap. Tie breaker of most reps completed if not finished under the time cap. Athletes must change their own weights, teammates may work together to change out weights, but no outside person (spectator, judge, competitor etc) may change the weight. Athletes must return the barbell to the correct starting weight at station 1 before leaving the competition floor unless otherwise told by their judge at the time of competing.

Buy In: 30 Bar Muscle Ups (split)

into...

3 Rounds

30 Synchro Burpees Over Bar

30 Synchro Wall Balls (20/14)

Buy out: 30 Bar Buscle Ups (split)

Workout Flow:

At 3,2,1, Go! Both athletes will move together from the starting position, within their lane, to the rig. Athletes will be required to complete 30 bar muscle ups, partitioned how they choose. There is no minimum work requirement for each athlete. Once 30 total bar muscle-ups have been completed, athletes will move together to their barbell, at station 1. Athletes will complete 30 synchro burpees over the bar. Athletes can choose to be on the same side, or opposite side of the bar when completing the burpees. RX athletes must jump over the bar, step-overs will result in a no rep. Once the synchro burpees over the bar are completed, athletes will move together to their designated wall ball station. Athletes will complete 30 synchro wall balls per the movement standards. Upon completion of 30 synchro wall balls, athletes will return to their barbell and advance the barbell to station 2. Athletes will now begin round 2 of 30 synchro burpees over the bar, and 30 synchro wall balls. Athletes will repeat this pattern until 3 rounds of 30 synchro burpees over the bar and 30 synchro wall balls have been completed. After completion of those 3 rounds, athletes will return to the rig and complete a buy out of 30 bar muscle-ups, partitioned how they choose. Once a total of 30 bar muscle ups have been completed, athletes will move together to the designated finish line.

Bar Muscle-up Standard:

Must begin with or pass through a hang below the bar, with arms fully extended and feet off the ground. Kipping the muscle-up is acceptable, but pull-overs, rolls to support, and glide kips are not permitted. No portion of the foot may rise above the height of the bar during the kip. The rep is credited when the arms are fully locked out in the support position above the bar, with the shoulders over or in front of the bar. Athletes must pass through some portion of a dip before locking out over the bar. Only the hands, and no other part of the arm, may touch the pull-up bar during the rep. Removing the hands and resting in the support position is not allowed.

Synchro Burpees Over The Bar Standard:

The chest and thighs must touch the floor at the bottom of each burpee rep. Synchronization occurs when both athlete's chests are in contact with the floor at the same time. Athletes will return to both feet with the hands off the floor. Jumping or stepping in and out of the bottom of the burpee is permitted. The athletes must CLEARLY jump over the barbell. Both feet must be off the ground as the athlete passes over the bar. The jump over the barbell does not have to be synchronized. Stepping over is NOT permitted for the RX division. The athlete is NOT required to use a two-foot takeoff. Touching the barbell on the jump is a “no rep.” The rep is credited when both feet have touched the ground on the opposite side of the barbell. There is no requirement to land with both feet at the same time.

Athletes may choose to be perpendicular to and facing the barbell or lateral to the barbell while performing the synchro burpees. Athletes may not receive outside assistance moving or resetting their barbell unless safety is an immediate concern.

If the athlete(s) receive a “no rep” for any reason, the entire rep must be repeated.

Synchro Wall Balls Standard:

Each rep starts with the med ball in the support position in front of the body (front rack). A squat clean is allowed, but not required, to start a set. Squat until the crease of the hip is clearly below the knees (below parallel). Synchronization occurs when both athletes reach the squat depth standard, at the same time, with the med ball held in the front rack position. Athletes will stand with full extension of the knees and hips and throw the med ball to their designated target.  10 feet for the men, and 9 feet for the women. The bottom of the med ball must pass clearly over the top portion of the line on the wall. The med ball must make contact with the wall at its peak ascension. If the med ball makes contact with the wall on its descent or does not make contact with the wall at the target, it is a no rep. The entire rep must be completed from the beginning to include the synchro squat.
