About This Competition

All season dates and details can be found in the FFL BASE: base.league.fit

The FFL Ranker consists of 3 workouts that will be completed by individual athletes interested in taking part in a 2020/21 season.

After all interested athletes have been RANKED, team captains can register their team. The combined RANK of the teams athletes will determine that teams division!

After the RANKER closes, affiliate rosters will be updated in the FFL BASE - which makes it easy for team captains to select their athletes & register their team!

Captains are encouraged to utilize athletes of similar RANK to ensure a balanced team.

RANKER DETAILS

Workouts can be completed in any of the 3 levels, with the higher levels automatically being scored above the lower divisions:

  • Div I: Prescribed
  • Div II: Intermediate
  • Div III: Scaled

Workouts can be completed at any time during the #FFLRANKER dates, but we encourage you to do them in a single 60 minute block!

Workouts

The first event of the FFL Open Team Ranker will be a max barbell lift / complex. 

Prescribed: 

1x Power Clean 
2x Hang Squat Cleans 
1x Jerk 

Scaled: 

2x Hang Power Cleans
1x Jerk

Scaling note:

Any weight done 'prescribed' will be ranked above a lift done 'scaled' - the scaled option is there for those who cannot complete, or do not feel safe completing, and Rx squat and are planning to compete in Div III.

The second event of the FFL Open Team Ranker is max unbroken reps of a gymnastics movement, straight into max calories in the remaining time of a conditioning piece.

With a 4 minute running clock the athlete must complete:

A single set for max reps of unbroken...

Prescribed: Chest to Bar Pullups

Intermediate: Chin over bar Pullups

Scaled: Band Assisted Chin Over bar Pullups

Max Calories in the remaining time of: 

  • Assault Air Bike 
  • Rogue Echo Bike (+10% calorie total)

This is scored as 2 events: 

2A: Unbroken Gymnastics reps (this score)
2B: Total pullups + total calories

The second event of the FFL Open Team Ranker is max unbroken reps of a gymnastics movement, straight into max calories in the remaining time of a conditioning piece.

2B (this score): 
Total Pullups + Total Calories

(and pullups as tiebreak time)

And you can enter your total pullups as your tiebreak for this event.

With a 4 minute running clock the athlete must complete:

A single set for max reps of unbroken...

Scaled: Band Assisted Chin Over bar Pullups

Max Calories in the remaining time of:

The third event of the FFL Open Team Ranker is a classic couplet or triplet for time, with a 10 minute cap.

    • Dual Dumbbell Thruster (50/35lb)
    • Burpee Box Jumps (24/20")

Intermediate:

  • 21-15-9 Reps:
    • Single Arm Dumbbell Thruster (50/35lb)
    • Burpee Box Jump or Step Up (24/20") 

Scaled:

  • 21-15-9 Reps:
    • Single Arm Dumbbell Thruster (35/20lb)
    • Burpee Box Jump or Step Up (20/16")
