Introducing our first ever Mixed Pairs CrossFit competition, Storm Series 2024



Categories & Dates

RX Mixed Pairs

Intermediate Mixed Pairs


Sunday 20th October

Scaled Mixed Pairs

Masters (Intermediate 80+) Mixed Pairs

NO QUALIFIERS

Cash Prize for 1st Place Rx!

Goodie Bags from Sponsors for all other podiums.

Every team will get a name board to take home.



Movement Standards

RX Division

  • For Gymnastic and skill movements we recommend that both members to be competent at common gymnastic movements found in the CrossFit Open such as pull-ups, TTB, HSPUs and double-unders. At least one member should be able to perform muscle-ups. 
  • For barbell movements, males should be comfortable with Open style weights such as 40kg-60kg barbells for cleans and snatches. 100kg for Deadlifts. For females, they should be comfortable with 30-45kg barbells and 70kg for deadlifts. 


Intermediate + Intermediate Masters (80+)

  • For Gymnastic and skill movements we recommend that both members to be competent at common gymnastic movements found in the CrossFit Open such as pull-ups, TTB, and double-unders. 
  • For barbell movements, males should be comfortable with weights such as 30kg-50kg barbells for cleans and snatches. 90kg for Deadlifts. For females, they should be comfortable with 25-35kg barbells and 60kg for deadlifts. 
  • This will be a fun pairs competition, with an opportunity to push your limits.
  • Masters only - Combined team age is 80+, minimum athlete age is 35+



Scaled Division

  • For Gymnastic movements we recommend that both members to be competent at common scaled gymnastic movements and skills found in the CrossFit Open such as Hanging knee raises, Single-unders and Hand-release pushups. 
  • For barbell movements, males should be comfortable with Open style scaled weights such as 30-45kg barbells for Cleans and Snatches. 70kg for Deadlifts. For females, they should be comfortable with 20-35kg barbells and 45kg for Deadlifts. 



About Us

The Training Zone - TTZ CrossFit will provide a well-rounded programmed event that covers a variety of workouts. EVERY DETAIL PLANNED TO THE MINUTE! Through our event, we hope to give every team mate an opportunity to show off their abilities on game day. 


So all you need to do is get a buddy, sign up, and come throw-down for the chance to win some some awesome prizes and create some great memories with your crew.


Refunds

Refunds for athletes that can’t attend Storm Series through injury or other unforeseen circumstances will be offered until Friday 13th September, after this date we will not be able to refund but can help you find a substitute team or teammate change.

Your score is Reps completed X Weight on bar. Example, 30 reps x 20kg = 600kg.


If all 30 reps are not completed within the given time window, your score will be tonnage lifted MINUS the tonnage missed.


Example:

Partner 1 completes 30 C+J @ 60kg score = 1800kg

Partner 2 completes 28 reps of snatch @60kg = 1680kg


2 reps missed from partner 2 = 2 x 60kg = 120kg taken off total.


Team score is 3480kg – 120kg = 3360kg


Teams will share 1 x 15kg bar – either athlete (male or female) can complete C+J or Snatch.
