The Granite Games Throwdown gives athletes new to competition an opportunity to challenge themselves and have a blast doing it!

Our 3-person, same gender team setup allows you to step out onto the competition floor with your best lifting buddies to experience the best of both worlds: all the fun of competition, without that nerve-wracking feeling of going it alone!

Pick your division…

Scaled: For those who are new to competing, share a common goal of functional fitness, and are working toward mastering their skills.

Intermediate: The perfect fit for athletes who love the thrill of competition and have a passion for functional fitness, but who don’t typically Rx daily workouts and may not have yet mastered all movements.

To set you up for success when you arrive onsite, here’s what you need to know:

Check- In - All athletes must check in at CrossFit Wonderland - 651 rue Bridge*, MTL, H3K 2C8- between 8:00 and 8:30AM

Where Am I Going? – *Our entrance is located on St-Patrict street corner St-Columban. 

Parking – There's parking available. We are welcome to park in our parking lot, specific instruction will be given out the day off to maximise capacity. But there is also street parking available on St-Patrick and St-Columban. You will be informed of any NO PARKING restriction if need be. 

Come Prepared – You’ll need to provide a valid ID to complete check-in. You'll also want to bring your own water bottle. NO water bottles will be available on site, we have a fountain. #savetheearth For your workout please plan on bringing anything you would usually use in your own gym for example, but not limited to: jump rope, knee sleeve, tape, wrist wraps, etc. But don't worry we will provide plenty of chalk. When in doubt, better safe than sorry.

No Take-Backs – Life happens—we totally get that. But please be aware that if you cannot participate in the weekend’s events, we cannot offer a refund for any reason.

Trading Places – You can substitute an athlete up until the day of competition!

Le Granite Games Throwdown offre à toute catégorie d’athlètes l’occasion de se mettre au défi et de s’amuser en le faisant!


Notre configuration d’équipe composée de trois personnes de même sexe vous permet de vous rendre sur le terrain de compétition avec vos meilleurs amis et partenaires de gym pour vivre le meilleur des deux mondes: tout le plaisir de la compétition, sans cette sensation angoissante de se retrouver seul!


De plus, les 15 meilleures équipes de chaque division du classement mondial seront automatiquement qualifiées pour le championnat des Granite Games 2020!

Scaled: Pour ceux qui débutent dans la compétition, partagent un objectif commun de fitness et travaillent à la maîtrise de leurs compétences.


Intermédiaire: La solution idéale pour les athlètes qui aiment les sensations fortes de la compétition et qui se passionnent pour le fitness. Vous pouvez effectuer quelques entraînements RX à votre gym, mais ne maîtrisez pas encore tous les mouvements.

Voici ce que vous avez besoin de savoir pour arriver l'esprit tranquille:  

Check- In - Tous les athlètes doivent checker in à CrossFit Wonderland - 651 rue Bridge, MTL, H3K 2C8 - entre 8:00 et 8:30. 

Où dois-je aller? – Notre entrée se trouve sur la rue St-Patrick coin St-Columban.  


Stationnement – Vous êtes les bienvenue dans notre stationnement. Le jour de l'événement vous serez diriger afin de maximiser la capacité du lot. N'aillez crainte, il y a plusieurs places de stationnement sur les rue St-Patrict et St-Columban à proximité. Nous vous informerons des restrictions -NO PARKING- en vigueur le jour même.

  
Venez Preparer – Vous aurez besoin d'une pièce d'identité valide pour faire votre check in. Il serait aussi bon d'avoir une bouteille d'eau, car aucune bouteille d'eau ne sera fournie, nous avons une fontaine. #sauvonslaplanete À considérer, aillez avec vous tout ce dont vous avez l'habitude de prendre pour vous entraîner dans votre gym comme par exemple, mais non limité à: grip de gymnastique, tape, knee sleeve, wrist wrap, etc. Ne soyez pas inquiet nous aurons en masse de craie pour vous. En cas de doute, mieux vaut prévenir que guérir.

 

Aucun Remboursement – C'est la vie— nous comprenons totallement. Cependant, veuillez noter que si vous ne pouvez pas participer le jour de l'événement aucun remboursement ne sera émis peu importe la raison.   


Substition – Vous pouvez substituer un athlète jusqu'au jour même de la compétition!

12 minute AMRAP

All athletes complete full round of 6s before moving on to the 9s. This trend continues throughout the 12 minutes

  • 300/250 Meter Row
  • 15 Thrusters (95/65)

This is done in a waterfall style format. At the start, one athlete will row. When they finish, they move on to the thrusters and athlete 2 starts their row. This fashion continues until each athlete has completed 3 rounds. Only the thruster reps count.
