About This Competition

This Open is for everyone!

 

Scaled or Rx, young or old, everyone has an option in the Rhino Open! The workouts won't be a walk in the park by any means, but they WILL challenge you, make you work hard, take risks, and find out what you're capable of.

 

Refunds on registration fees are allowed up to four days before the event begins on September 29, 2022.

 

Substitutes are allowed if you cannot compete, but only after registration closes. If you find you cannot compete before registration ends, simply request a refund and the other person can register separately.

 

This competition takes place at a gym near you! Interested in competing? Talk to your gym owner and see if they're willing to host some "Friday Night Lights" style Open workouts!

AMRAP for 9 minutes:

1 round of "MDT"
2 burpee bar muscle ups
1 round of "MDT"
4 burpee bar muscle ups
1 round of "MDT"
6 burpee bar muscle ups
1 round of "MDT"
8 burpee bar muscle ups
1 round of "MDT"
10 burpee bar muscle ups
......(continue until 9 minutes is reached on clock)

6 deadlifts
5 hand power cleans
4 shoulder-to-overheads

females RX: 95# barbell
males RX: 135# barbell

Workout #2B immediately follows!

immediately after workout 2A

(1 minute of rest until the clock reaches the 10:00 mark)

Athlete has 6 minutes to find a heavy complex:

3 deadlifts
2 hang cleans
1 shoulder-to-overhead

**final score for 2B is weight in lbs of heaviest lift**

15 minute AMRAP:

100 double-unders
21 wallballs
15 toes-to-bar
9 devil press
21 wallballs
15 toes-to-bar
9 devil press

repeat until clock reaches 15 minutes

RX: 
female - 14-lb wallball, 35-lb dumbbells
male - 20-lb wallball, 50-lb dumbbells
