Flow:
In this event pairs will complete their 1RM Clean and Jerk. Athletes must complete at least 1 lift. Athletes can complete this event in any order.
Standards:
The clean and jerk starts with the weight on the floor and finishes with the barbell fully locked out overhead with the arms, hips, and legs extended, and the bar over the center of the athlete’s body when viewed from profile.
The barbell must pass through the front-rack position before going overhead; snatching is not permitted. A muscle clean, power clean, split clean, or squat clean may be used, as long as the barbell comes up to the rack position on the shoulders.
Once racked, a press, push press, split jerk, or push jerk may be used to lock the barbell out overhead.
Once a weight has been declared good rep, athletes may NOT go back down to the same weight to perform another rep. However, if an athlete receives a no rep during the attempted lift, they may continue to lift that weight until they achieve a good rep.
Teams will be scored based on total weight moved.
We are pleased to announce event #2 “Twenties” TDSS women’s pairs teams.
Teams will complete in 13 min of:
10 Sync Axle Bar Deadlifts 275/231
30 Wall Balls 14# to 10ft target (RX) | 10# to 9ft target (scaled)
50 Alt DB Snatches 35/25
70 Calorie row
90 DU/180 SU
Flow:
Team will complete TOGETHER the Axle Bar Deadlifts. In this classic chipper, athletes will then move on to the wall-balls, snatches, cal and double-unders. Teams may break up the chipper how they see fit. Teams can not advance to the next movement until all reps are completed.
Standards:
Axle bar deadlifts - Traditional deadlift with hands outside the knees (sumo deadlifts are not allowed). Starting at the floor, the barbell is lifted until hips and knees reach full extension for both athletes, with the head and shoulders behind the bar. The arms must be straight throughout (no bouncing)
In the wall-ball shot, the medicine ball must be taken from the bottom of a squat, hip crease below the knee, and thrown to hit the specified target. 10/9 ft targets
The dumbbell snatch starts with the dumbbell on the ground and finishes with the dumbbell directly overhead. At the bottom of the movement, BOTH heads of the dumbbell must touch the ground. The dumbbell must be lifted overhead in one motion. Touch And-go is permitted. Bouncing the dumbbell is not allowed. Athletes must alternate arms after each repetition. The dumbbell must be lowered below the top of the athlete’s head before he or she can switch hands for the next rep. The non-lifting hand and arm may not be in contact with the body during the repetition. If the athlete receives a no rep and has already switched hands, the athlete may proceed from where she is. The athlete does not need to return the dumbbell to the no-repped arm for the next repetition to count
For the rower, judges will ensure the monitor is set and ready for the athletes. Athlete may NOT touch the monitor
The standard double-under in which the rope passes under the feet twice for each jump. The rope must spin forward for the rep to count. Only successful jumps are counted, not attempts.
If teams do not complete the chipper, one second is added to the finish time for every rep not completed in the chipper. Example if you finish the 70 cal row at 13:00, and do not advance to the next movement (90 du) 90 seconds is added to your completed time of 14:30.
