About This Competition

It has been a very challenging 2020-2021 for us all but we've made it through the Covid-19 pandemic and have some great news! 

We have partnered with LA County Sheriff's Department and will be holding Battleground SoCal 2022 at S.T.A.R.S. Center April 23rd & 24th, 2022.

Individual Divisions:

Male & Female Rx, Int, Beg, Masters 40-49, Masters 50+, *Law Enforcement / 1st Responder

*Law Enforcement / 1st Responder is equivalent to Rx for programming and movements

Team Divisions:

3-Person Same Sex

Male & Female Rx, Int, Beg, *Masters, *Law Enforcement / 1st Responders

*All 3 team members minimum age 35 and total combined age 116. 

*Law Enforcement / 1st Responder is equivalent to Rx for programming and movements

Workouts

Individuals For Time: 

 

At the count of 3,2,1 Go! Individuals will complete the following as a relay:

 

15 Foot Handstand Walk (RX) (Int./Masters: 50 double under) (Beginner:75 Single under) 

15 Lungesters with sandbag (RX/1st Resp: 75,50) (Int/Masters 50/35) (Beginner 35,25)

15 Box-Over Burpees (RX/1st Resp: 30,24) (Int/Masters 24,20) (Beginner 20/20)

*Lungester is a lunge with each leg then thruster =1 Rep

*Only RX/1st responder division will perform handstand walks 

*There will be a 5 min time cap for individuals

At the count of 3,2,1 Go! Individuals will complete the following as a relay:

At the count of 3,2,1 Go! Individuals & Teams will complete the following:

 

15 Deadlifts 

10 hang Squat Cleans

5 Overhead Squats (Beginner Division will do Front Squats).

 

Individuals & Teams will compelted 2 rounds of the above complex, then add additional weight for the next 2 rounds, etc. If 6 rounds are completed under the time cap competitors may perform thrusters at round 1 weight until time cap expires.

 

Round 1-2 (RX/1st Responders, Int./All Masters, Beginner)

Male:  155,135,115

Female: 115, 75, 65

Round 3-4 (RX/1st Responders, Int./All Masters, Beginner)

Male: 185, 155, 135

Female: 135, 95, 75

Round 5-6 (RX/1st Responders, Int./All Masters, Beginner)

Male: 225, 185, 155

Female: 155, 125, 95

 

*Individuals must load & unload barbells unassisted

 

 

FOR TIME

OBSTACLE COURSE SANDBAG RUN

At the count of 3,2,1 Go! Individuals will complete the following:

Individuals will complete 800 meter obstacle course run carrying sand bag

RX/1st Responder: 75, 50

Int./ Masters 50, 35

Beginner: 35, 20

*Individuals will have 5 min time cap

*6FT obstacle wall approximately every 200m 

*Athletes must carry sandbag for the entirety of the course and may drop bag to scale obstacle.

AMRAP 

Individuals 9 Min

At the count of 3,2,1 Go! Individual competitors will complete the following: 

Individuals will begin by completing 1,000 meters on the rower. Then they will perform 3 rounds of 15 hand-release push-ups and 30 air squats. After the 3 rounds are completed they will begin another 1,000 meter on the rower and then another 3 rounds of 15/30 etc.

*Final score is total Reps: 1 Meter= 1 Rep

*Each round has a possible rep count total of 1135 for individuals.

*Beginner division may perform hand-release push-ups and air squats however they like.

*Rower dampers may be placed at any setting by athletes.

*Athletes MAY NOT TOUCH ROWER COMPUTER DISPLAY!
