About This Competition

Unbound Athletic 
Presents: Unbound & Unleashed 
This is a 1 day event with seperate gender competing times & dates. The event will consist of 4 workouts & run over half the day

Unbound & Unleashed is an event for Intermediate, Rx, and Masters* Athletes.

*Masters will require 2 of 3 athletes as masters (40+) at minimum, the 3rd can be masters OR an open athlete

Divisions: 
These standards are no indication of intended workouts. They are only to be used as a guideline when determining decisions when registering. 

Rx
At least 2 of 3 athletes at quarter-final level and able to complete ALL CrossFit Skills to an Open standard.
- TTB
- RMU
- BMU
- CTB
- HSW
- Pistol
- sHSPU
- Double Under
- Burpee Box Jump Overs 24/20"

All 3 athletes should be comfortable working through the following movements
- Snatch / Overhead Squat 60/40kg reps
- Clean and Jerk 80/52.5kg for reps

Intermediate 
At least 2 of 3 athletes should be comfortable working through the following movements to a full Open Standard.
- TTB
- Pull Ups
- Wall Walks

All 3 athletes should be comfortable working through the following movements to a full Open Standard
- Snatch and overhead Squat 40/30kg for reps
- Clean and Jerk 60/40kg for reps
- cycle a variety of DB movements at 22.5/15kg
- wall balls 20/14lb
- Box Jumps 24/20"

Master and Apprentice
Note for this Division we are allowing teams consisting of minimum 2 athletes who are 40+ and one open athlete. 

At least 2 of 3 athletes should be comfortable working through the following movements to a full Open Standard
- CTB
- Bar Muscle Ups
- kHSPU
- Wall Walks

All of the 3 athletes should be comfortable working through the following movements to a full Open Standard
- Snatch 40/30kg for reps
- Thrusters 50/35kg 
- Clean and Jerk 60/40kg for reps
- Wall Balls 20/14lb
- TTB
- Pull Unders
- cycle a variety of DB movements at 22.5/15kg

Please Note - this is an intermediate division, NOT scaled and as such there will be no scaling of movements, eg TTB will not be subbed for hanging knee raises. Workouts will be written to an Intermediate standard. Workouts will be written in a way that allows for an athlete who doesn't have a certain skill to be aided by a teammate with the skill.

 


Workouts & Standards

All movements and standards will be outlined. Each WOD offers different levels of movement and/or weight. The competitor will choose at registration which level to complete the workout. This rewards strengths exposes weaknesses and enables everyone to compete at a level that is challenging for them. 

All workouts and movement standards will be released prior to the event. 

Briefing: Competition briefing will be specified closer to the date on the Facebook page and Website 

Waivers: Waivers are to be filled out before the day, spares will be around on the day.

FAQ’s

Warming Up 

There will be a warm-up area for your convenience. There will be equipment for you to use during your warm-up, but if you have specific warm-up needs, you will need to bring those items with you. 

Parking

Our parking lot will be reserved for vendors and utilized for the workouts and a warm-up area throughout the day so you will be unable to park in the venue. There is plenty of parking on Flinders Parade. 

Spectators

You are welcome to bring as many spectators with you as you would like and we will have room for you to set up tents, chairs, tables, etc. for your convenience. During the competition the building will be reserved for athletes and spectators only, so your belongings will need to be placed outside. 

Food & Drink 

There will be food and drink options available to be purchased on the day.
