About This Competition

The Barbell VooDoo Gulf Coast Games is a two person, same sex, team competition with RX, Intermediate, and Scaled divisions. 

Each division will compete in four workouts, with the top four RX teams in male and female divisions also competing in a championship workout. It should be quite the show!

Division Movement Standards

RX:

Bike, Run, Row, Ski, Double Unders 

Handstand Push Ups & Walks 

Bar Muscle Ups

Deadlift (225/155) 

OHS (bodyweight) 

*If you make the quarterfinals in the Open you should be in the RX division. 

-Not ALL movements represented. The above provides standards for division. 

 

Intermediate: 

Bike, Run, Row, Ski, Double Unders

DB Push Press (35s/20s)

Pull Ups (chin over bar)

Farmer's Carry (70s/53s)

Deadlift (185/125)

Front Squat (bar from the floor) 

*You can RX the workout "Jackie" or "Helen", for examples.

Single Arm DB Push Press (35/20) 

Jumping Pull Ups (chest to bar) 

Farmer's Carry (53s/35s) 

Deadlift (135/95) 

Front Squat (bar from the floor) 

*You're here to have some fun and push your fitness limits - you can do this! 

-Not ALL movements represented. The above provides standards for division.

 

-All sales are final, there will be no refunds. 

-You may, if you cannot attend after signing up, transfer your registration to someone else. 

-Workouts, along with their specific movement standards, and demos will be released one at a time in the weeks leading up to the event. 

-Repeating: If you make quarterfinals in the 2021 Open, you should be in the RX division. 

-We will have more information on lodging, parking, and vendors as the event date comes closer.

Athletes may switch any time and as often as they'd like during this workout. Athletes MUST TAG to switch the working partner. Athletes are responsible for changing their own weights for the C&J ladder. 

This is an AMRAP, so any team that finishes the given work and the final two clean & jerks at the 10:00 mark will still continue to work for the entire 12:00. If a team finishes the given work prior to completing the C&J ladder, will start back over on the wall balls - just like a normal AMRAP. Each team will only complete each rep count/ weight on the clean & jerk ladder one time - at their given times in the workout.
