Join us for Talisman Wars - SummerSlam 2023

Mixed teams of four (two females/two males)

Divisions & Movement Standards

RX (AKA Titans):

If you RX at competitions or the CrossFit Open then this division is for you.

  • Deadlift 70-140kg
  • Pull ups (at least 2 athletes)
  • Toes to bar (at least two athletes)
  • 20/24/30“ box jumps
  • Double Unders
  • Front Squat 40/60kg
  • Snatch 55/80kg
  • Cleans 70/100kg
  • Deadlift 100/140kg
  • Dumbbells 2 x 15/22.5kg or 1x 22.5/30kg
  • HSPU & HSW (at least one athlete)
  • Muscle ups - Ring and Bar (at least one athlete)


Do not fear RX- this competition is about work capacity and teamwork.

Any 'high skill' work will be shared across the team, meaning you don't get stopped in your tracks - this maybe the most inclusive RX comp you'll find!



Masters (AKA Legends):

All athletes must be 35+

Scaling for this division is Intermediate level, with lower weights and gymnastics at a lower volume than for our Titans.

  • Deadlift 60/120kg
  • Pull Ups
  • Toes to Bar
  • Chest to Bar
  • 20/24“ Box Jumps
  • Double Unders
  • Front Squat 35/50kg
  • Snatch 45/60kg
  • Cleans 55/80kg
  • Deadlift 85/120kg
  • Dumbbells 2 x 15/22.5kg or 1 x 15/22.5kg
  • HSPU (kipping)
  • Potentially muscle-ups* (at least one athlete)

*If muscle-ups are programmed for our Gladiators category they tend to be as a 'max-set' at the end of a workout rather than mid workout so will not stop you from completing a WOD


 

Everyday (AKA Gladiators):

Our Gladiators category is a great place to start your competition experience, if you generally scale workouts in the Open or at the gym then give Gladiators a try.Deadlift 50-100kg

  • Deadhang
  • Wall Balls
  • 20/24" Box Jumps/Step Up
  • Single Unders
  • Front Squat 25/40kg
  • Ground to Overhead 35/50kg
  • Cleans 45/70kg
  • Deadlift 70/100kg
  • Dumbbells 2 x 10/15kg or 1x 15/22.5kg
  • Potentially pull-ups** (at least one athlete)

**If pull-ups are programmed for our Gladiators category they tend to be as a 'max-set' at the end of a workout rather than mid workout so will not stop you from completing a WOD

Refunds

Refunds for teams that can’t attend Summerslam through injury or other unforeseen circumstances will be offered until Friday 18th August, after this date we will be able to refund any places we can fill with a substitute team.

From minutes 12-15 AMRAP legless rope climbs

AMRAP Burpee pull ups

For total accumulated load ( score = total weight lifted by the team across all 8 attempts)

Athletes work in 2 male/2 female pairs, alternating each 2 min window

Athletes have 2min to complete a run and a lift

men will complete 1 rep of a snatch; women 1 rep of a clean

the barbell must be off the ground at the end of the 2 min window for lift to count

athletes may reattempt their lift if they fail, so long as it is within the 2 min window

Resting athletes may change the weight for their working teammates on the run

For total accumulated weight

Athletes will work in 2 M?F pairs alternating every 2 min window

In a 2 min window athletes must complete a 200m run then complete 1 rep of: Men = Thruster, Women = Clean

Barbell must be off the ground at the end of the 2 min window to count

20 Synchro sandbag squats

AMRAP 13

4 Partial wall walks

20 Goblet squats


Athletes complete a full round in relay -style ( Male, Female, Male, Female)

1 KB must be off the floor at all times

AMRAP ( total calories at 13 min)

During workout 3A Teams will also work to accumulate Max Reps on a Ski erg for WoD 3B
