About This Competition

Erada Fitness Throwndown 2025 is a Team competition that is specialized in functional fitness. Happening every year at Erada Fitness after the tremedous success of its predecessor. Sponsored by  Stone Specialty Coffee, Oak Berry, Cherry Beans, Mejawharati, Tuff Athletics, Prime, and Force Sports.

Erada Fitness Throwdown will take place in Erada Fitness Men (Doha), the biggest Fitness community in Qatar. The event will kick off on February 21st for Men Competition and February 22nd for Women Compeititon (which will be private and closed to women only).

The competition will be divided into 5 categories:

  1. Team of 3 Men Rx
  2. Team of 3 Men Intermediate
  3. Team of 2 Women XFit
  4. Team of 2 Women Active

Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams in each category. For each event, the winning team will earn the highest score of 100 points. The team with the highest overall points will be crowned the champion. Our goal is to celebrate and recognize the fittest team within Qatar’s community.

Categories:

Team of 3 Men Rx
(Registration Fee is 180$ for the team)

  1. Teams will consist of 3 men, with a maximum of 10 teams allowed.
  2. Athletes must be 16 years or older.
  3. Participation is open to all gyms in Qatar.
  4. Athletes must be capable of performing all RX movements included in the 2024
  5. CrossFit Open and the 2024 Arab Open.
  6. All teams will participate in all events on the competition day.
  7. The top 3 teams overall will receive cash prizes.
  8. A valid photo ID is required during check-in.
  9. By entering the Erada Fitness Throwdown, you consent to the use of your image in any photographs or videos taken on the premises for promotional and marketing purposes.
  10. By entering the Erada Fitness Throwdown, you agree to adhere to all guidelines and rules set forth by Erada Fitness.
  11. Cash prizes, plus additional prizes from our sponsors.
  12. The competition will be held at Erada Fitness Men, Doha.

Team of 3 Men Intermediate
(Registration Fee is 180$ for the team)

  1. Teams will consist of 3 men, with a maximum of 10 teams allowed.
  2. Athletes must be 16 years or older.
  3. Participation is open to all gyms in Qatar.
  4. Athletes must have at least 6 months of fitness experience.
  5. All teams will participate in all events on the competition day.
  6. The top 3 teams overall will receive prizes.
  7. A valid photo ID is required during check-in.
  8. By entering the Erada Fitness Throwdown, you consent to the use of your image in any photographs or videos taken on the premises for promotional and marketing purposes.
  9. By entering the Erada Fitness Throwdown, you agree to adhere to all guidelines and rules set forth by Erada Fitness.
  10. The competition will be held at Erada Fitness Men, Doha.

Team of 2 Women XFit
(Registration Fee is 120$ for the team)

  1. Teams will consist of 2 Women, with a maximum of 10 teams allowed.

  5. All teams will participate in all events on the competition day.

  8. By entering the Erada Fitness Throwdown, you agree to adhere to all guidelines and rules set forth by Erada Fitness.
  9. Cash prizes, plus additional prizes from our sponsors.
  10. The competition will be held at Erada Fitness Men, Doha.

Team of 2 Women Active

Notes:

  • Tie Breaker after 2 rounds
  • For the Row and Bike; one Athlete is on the bike and another on Rower and all three athletes can switch anytime.
  • In the running, 2 Athletes only running together and one Athlete is resting.

1st round: max 1 DB box step over at 22.5 lb

2nd round: burpees box jump over at 20 inch box

3rd round: Single arm Devil press box step over at 22.5 lb

Scores is number of total Repetitions

  • Each Athlete has to choose the lift before they Start
  • Each Athlete will have 3 min to do their Lift and they can do as many attempts as they want with their time
  • Once the 3 min is done, score of the last succesful left will be recorded.
  • For Athlete 1, he will perform his lift from the Rac

Double Dumbell thruster ladder

14 Dumbell Thruster at 10 lb

10 Dumbell Thruster at 15 lb

8 Dumbell Thruster at 22.5 lb

4 Dumbell Thruster at 30 lb

Notes:

  • Each Athlete will have 90 Seconds to do the full ladder
  • 2 Dumbells will be used at each station
  • Droping the Dumbell will lead to a penality 
  • There will be a tiebreaker after the second weight.

Event 2A

In 2 min 

Max Distance Handstand Walk

Note:

  • Each Segment is 4m and it has to be unbroken
  • Tiebreaker is the time once passed 20 m distance.

Part A

Athlete 1: 1 min max reps strict Handstand push-ups

Athlete 2: 1 min max reps kipping Handstand push-ups

Rest 1 min

Then

Part B

Every 3 min x 2

Athlete 1: Front Squat + Shoulder to overhead

Athlete 2: Hang Snatch + Snatch

Note:

  • Each Athlete has to choose the gymnastics part before they start Part A.
  • Each Athlete has to choose the lift before they Start Part B.
  • Each Athlete will have 1 min to do the HSPU and they can do as many reps as possible in their 1 min for Part A
  • once the 1 min is done for part A, score of the total reps will be recorded.
  • Each Athlete will have 3 min to do their Lift and they can do as many attempts as they want with their time
  • Once the 3 min is done for Part B, score of the last succesful left will be recorded.
  • For Athlete 1, she will perform his lift from the Rac

Event 2B

  • In the worm thruster, all three athletes working together
  • in the burpees over worm, all three athletes working together
  • In the PU, C2B and MU, only one athlete is working.
