About This Competition

Welcome to FitFams 2023!

We are thrilled you want attend our event. Information regarding the competition date, workouts and divisions can all be found on our landing page. From here, you can also register, view leaderboards, buy tickets, and more!

Our Purpose:

Bring families together by way of functional fitness, and creating the importance and education around living a healthier lifestyle.  

Finding the fittest family name.

Our Vision:

Enter a functional fitness competition with a family member, your brother, sister, cousin, mum, dad, uncle, aunty, or even your nan or pops.

Creating memories with loved ones,  one of many highlights of the first event was seeing some competitors elderly parents come and watch their now adult children in a competitive space.

We are sure this brought back many great memories for these parents raising their kids, taking them to sports every Saturday morning.

Event Format:

Pairs competition with same gender pairs or mixed pairs divisions will be 

  • Novice/ Social 

  • Beginner

  • Scaled

  • Rx

Workouts

"Sharing is caring"

AMRAP 12 minutes

Buy in: 100 Double unders (Shared)

50 KB deadlifts @ 2x24/20 (shared)

40 Synchronized Air squats

30 KB Hang Snatch @ 2x24/20 (shared)

20 Synchronized Push ups

10 Double KB Devil press @ 2x24/20 (shared)

Tie break: Time to complete Double unders

Workout flow:

On 3,2,1 go, athletes must complete 100 double unders as their buy in. (this is also the tie breaker). They will then commence to complete 50 double kettlebell deadlifts (shared as desired), followed by 40 Air squats synchronized, followed by 30 double kettlebell hang snatch (shared as desired), followed by 20 Push ups synchronized, and then on to 10 double kettlebell devil press (shared as desired).

Once they have completed 10 devil presses, they will then start back at the 50 double kettlebell deadlifts and repeat the workout until 12 minutes has expired.

For time:

12/10 Cals Assault bike

5-4-3-2-*2

Squat clean (Increasing weight each round)

Female: 55/65/75/85/95

Male: 80/90/100/110/120

Time cap: 8:00

Workout flow:

On 3,2,1 go, athlete 1 will complete 12/10 Calories on the assault bike, then will complete 5 cleans shared at first weight. Then Athlete 2 will complete 12/10 calories on the assault bike followed by 4 cleans shared at second weight, then Athlete 1 will complete 12/10 calories on the assault bike followed by 3 cleans shared at third weight. Then Athlete 2 will complete 12/10 calories on the assault bike followed by 2 cleans at fourth weight. Finally, either athlete will complete 12/10 calories on the assault bike and BOTH athletes must complete 1 rep each at final weight.

For time:

Partner 1

3 rounds

10 thrusters @ 40/25kgs

5 BMU

10 Burpee over bar

10 Toes to bar

Partner 2

1 round

30 thrusters @ 40/25kgs

30 Chest to bar pull ups

30 Burpee over bar

30 V-sits

Time cap: TBC

Tie break: Partner 1 time to complete their part.

Workout flow:

On 3,2,1 go, Athlete 1 will complete 3 rounds of 10 barbell thrusters, 5 Bar muscle ups, 10 Lateral burpee over bar, 10 Toes to bar. Once completed athlete 2 is able to start their work on 30 Barbell thrusters, 30 Chest to bar pull ups, 30 Burpee over bar, 30 V-Ups. Time is taken once athlete 2 completes their last V-Up.

For time:

250 Wall balls

Time cap: 7:00

Workout flow:

Complete 250 Wall balls as fast as possible.

*1 athlete must complete 50 Wall balls before athlete 2 joining to share remaining reps.

Tie break: Time at completion of 50 wall balls
