About This Competition
Hey fam!
We are very excited to extend “The Vitamin D Challenge” during this crisis and the #stayhome situation.
The purpose of this event is to promote physical activity and an avenue for healthy coping during the month of May. Whether we agree with it or like it, our nation and world is going through a crisis. We understand this and want to help. That is why this event will only be $1 per person with an optional donation above and beyond. We know a lot of people have lost a portion of income or their jobs altogether. We want to support the community to have fun, get outside, be safe and stay active, both physically and mentally, without further stressing finances.
What?
To accumulate the max amount of minutes moving (on your feet, a bike, ab erg, your hands, whatever!) during the month of May
When?
May 1-May 31 (last score due by Jun 1st @ 0100 EST)
Divisions:
Men and Women. If you’re moving, it counts, but all athletes must show proof of movement.
*All athletes must use the App MapMyRun through our event to log minutes and also log your weekly total minutes on the leaderboard. Minutes must be rounded to whole numbers, so end on an even minute!
*If you are using a bike or erg, you must take a picture or a video of each session total that you complete and also log your weekly total miles on the leaderboard. You can DM us your pictures, or save them until we request them. No pictures, no prizes.
*This is event is meant for people to go outside safely to escape the claws of going "stir crazy," but since a lot of you will be using stationary equipment, it is strongly suggested that you do it outside, at least in the driveway. That way you can also get some Vitamin D :)
*Yes, we will only be using minutes. This is to reward those who are getting outside and staying active, regardless of speed.
How?
After registering, we will add you to the event group on MapMyRun - just let us know the email and user name you use for the app. You can also friend request "vet wod" on the app and you will be added to the event. All athletes should log each session in MapMyRun.
If you are logging minutes in any way that doesn’t have you physically moving on the map, keep track of your sessions with pictures, videos, etc.
You will then log your score on the leaderboard once per week. Week 1, Week, 2, etc.

Top 3 females
Top 3 gyms/groups (contact us if you are unsure if your group qualifies).
*For each division.
If any companies or sponsors would like to donate prizes, please contact us.
