About This Competition

The BlackCat Throwdown, is a friendly competition for Scaled, RX, Teens and athletes ages 9-11.

It will include 4 Workouts plus a final for the top 6 team in each division. 

Workouts will be released the day of the Competition with clues leading up to them in the week prior. 

We do not offer refunds on entry and if you are not attending we ask if you can let us know so we can offer your spot to someone else. 

£200 Cash Prize per pair for RX Winners and a goodie bags! 

 

Divison Standards:

RX- Pull Ups, Toes to Bar, Clean and Jerk 85/60kg

Scaled- Butterfly Sit Ups, Clean 40/25, Hand release push ups, Wall Ball to target 6/4kg. 

Teens- competent with empty barbell 

Ages 9-11- All inclusive

Workouts

RX

0-3min - Max Cal Row + Toes to Bar 

3-6min - Max Cal Row + DB GTOH (22.5/15)

On 3, 2, 1, go Athlete A will start on the rower (can start seated) and row for calories. Athlete B will start on the toes to bar. At the 3 minute mark Athlete B will change movements from Toes to Bar to double DB GTOH, Athlete A can continue to row for calories. 

 

Athlete A and Athlete B can swap at any point within the 6 minute window.

 

Score will be total repitions of Toes to Bar, DB GTOH and calories added together.

Scaled

0-3min - Max Cal Row + Sit Up 

3-6min - Max Cal Row + DB GTOH (15/10)

On 3, 2, 1, go Athlete A will start on the rower (can start seated) and row for calories. Athlete B will start on the sit ups. At the 3 minute mark Athlete B will change movements from Toes to Bar to double DB GTOH, Athlete A can continue to row for calories. 

 

Athlete A and Athlete B can swap at any point within the 6 minute window.

 

Score will be total repitions of sit ups, DB GTOH and calories added together.

Scaled

RX Male - Squat Clean Ladder 

On 3, 2, 1, go both athletes will have a 2 minute window in which to complete the allocated lift. There is no limit on attempts but athletes must hit the lift in order to progress. If Athlete A makes the lift, but Athlete B fails, only Athlete A will progress along the ladder.

The event will start with empty bars and it the responsibility of the athletes to load to the allocated weight. Both athletes can help with loading their bars, regardless of whether they are still progressing up the ladder or not.

Score is total weight for both athletes.

Athletes mush alternate rounds finishing with the walking lunges. Once all work is complete the athletes must cash out with 10 syncro burpees and finish standing on a 20" box. 

Score is total time to complete this workout, the clock stops when both athletes are standing on the box.
