About This Competition

Hey, athletes! We're so excited for another opportunity to create the best competition experience you've ever had. We're proud to present Summer Swolestice 3, bigger and better than ever on July 10, 2021. This year, teams will be same-sex and we're offering an RX, intermediate, and scaled division. Our youth division returns for 8-12 year old competitors. The day will be packed full of fun workouts programmed by me, so please arrive between 6-7am for check in!

My name is Emma Cary and I am the 2019 CrossFit Games champion in the 14-15 division. Proceeds from this competition will support my journey back to the Games. This year, I've set a huge goal that has never been done before. I want to qualify for the 2021 CrossFit Games as an Elite Individual athlete, even though I have one more year eligible as a teen. I am supported by so many amazing people and have no doubt that WE can do big things this season. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your support. My motto is, "Make yourself proud!" and I know that Summer Swolestice 3 will be an event to be proud of!

75 Chin over bar pull-ups

*Every switch = 30 double unders

**Partners may start on either movement as long as all of one movement is completed before moving to the next.

 

Scaled:

100 Hand release push-ups

100 Kettlebell swings (35/20# KB)

*Every switch = 50 single unders

**Partners may start on either movement as long as all of one movement is completed before moving to the next.

For time with a 7 minute cap:

100 Plate hops

50 Medball squats 6#

25 Plate ground to overhead 10#

For time, with an 8 minute time cap:

25 Synchro burpee box jump overs

75 Synchro power snatch

*Every break on power snatch, stop and perform 5 synchro burpee box jump overs

 

RX = 115/75# barbell, 24/20 inch box

Intermediate = 95/65# barbell, 24/20 inch box

Scaled = 75/55# barbell, 20 inch box for male and female, stepovers are allowed.

3 Rounds

30 second assault bike

30 seconds to find 1RM clean and jerk

 

Athlete 1 will start on the bike. At 30 seconds, they will move to the barbell and athlete 2 will move to the bike. At 60 seconds, they must switch again. This pattern continues until both partners have completed 3 rounds (3:30). 

Additional Standards:
- Athletes may preload their barbell to their first attempt. 
- Athletes may go up or down in weight. 
- Athletes may take unlimited attempts within the window. 
- Athletes may choose not to take an attempt within a window.
- Athletes must have the entire clean and jerk completed before their 30 second window is over.
- Athletes may not switch early. Any calories accumulated before the start of their window will not count.
- Rollover calories will be counted.

3 Rounds
