Volunteer Roles/Duties:
Front of House: Greet the athletes and spectators. Ensure all athletes are checked-in and all spectators are properly granted entry. You will walk through the grounds throughout the weekend to field any questions the athletes may have and ensure wristbands are being worn properly by both athletes and spectators.
Judges: You will be briefed daily by the Head Judge on movement standards and expectations. You will then be assigned a lane and charged with ensuring standards are met and reps are captured accurately for the team assigned to your lane during that event heat. **Prior CrossFit and/or competition experience is preferred**
Equipment Team: Move equipment (weights, barbells, dumbbells, ERGs, etc) to and from the competition floor between each heat/division. You will be expected to lift many pieces of equipment and ensure accurate placement of all items at the direction of the Stage Manager.
Delta Team: Serve as a back-up in the event of staff shortage/issues in any aspect of the event. Be ready and willing to be utilized at any given moment in any role.
Athlete Control: Organize athletes in the warm-up area and escort them to the competition stage. Also, help manage athlete flow inside each stage, by making sure they are in the right lane order prior to entering the competition floor.
Score Runners: Collect all completed score sheets from the judges, ensuring they are filled out accurately, and swiftly deliver to the scorers’ table after each heat.
