About This Competition

THE TRG Gym Series - Mixed Pairs FINALS!

WELCOME to the 3rd of our Scottish Borders GYM SERIES events, hosted by The Reiver games. This time we will be heading BACK to THE RIG in HAWICK on the 1st of April 2023!

First of all, congratulations on completing the qualifiers. I hope you had "fun". I sure did, judging and watching, and completing! So I wrote about it on sign up, and spoke about it on socials, but let me explain a little about why we did the qualifiers. There are two main reasons ;

1) As a small comp, trying to keep costs for the athletes as low as possible, drop outs and pull outs really affect us. So with some feedback from you guys, the judges and those further afield, a qualifier hopefully now means you're more invested in the comp, and more likely to come compete and after entering, and seeing yourself on the leader board! So that's number 1.

2) We wanted a way to be able to suggest a category to you. This is based on your results from the qualifiers. I say suggest as at this point, as I mentioned right at the start before everyone entered, I won't be enforcing categories, just suggesting the correct one for you based on your result. You will have a better time, in a more suited category if you take this route, but I understand that might not be for everyone, so see the standards for what might and might not come up in the actual comp if you need to, and go from there. My advice? Ignore that, and go with what I have suggested, and enjoy it on the day! Who knows, you might impress yourself.

So with the above in mind, you can now register for one of the two categories, if you wish to take part on the 1st of April! We have more teams having went through the qualifiers, than spaces, so will work on a first come first serve basis. The remainder will be added to a reserve list, and in the event of drop outs, the spaces can then be claimed up until a couple of weeks before the event, at which point I'll close it off.

The price for registration is PER TEAM. Half that to work out the per person price. We are still, and where feasible, plan to remain the cheapest comp near to here, or even more so, further afield. This will remain the case for the gym series as long as I can justify it. I understand times are tough for people at the moment, so I do apologise if this is still a bit steep for ya!

Then step up or jump up, and run PAST the tape at the other side. Chest and thighs touch the floor, then run back. The whole burpee must be completed OVER the tape.
