Workouts

ENDURANCE ZONE

30 minutes

Its time for you and your partner to work together through two challenging but different workouts in the ATHX Endurance Zone. Pick your tactics wisely as you’ll want to leave some gas in the tank for the final push.



PART A 

3KM RUN OR MAX TOTAL DISTANCE IN 25 MINS 


PART B 

1KM SKI-ERG 

2KM ROW 

4KM BIKE 


(25 MIN TIME CAP) 


Both parts must be completed by the pair simultaneously but the rule is that if you start on an erg you must complete the full distance on that erg and then switch to running. therefore athlete 1 will run-row-run and athlete 2 will ski-run-bike.



You will have a time for your 3km run and a time for your ergs. Part A and Part B will be added together for your score

METCON X ZONE

30 minutes

The final test but it's certainly no easy jog to the finish line! Your all-round functional fitness will be truly tested in this METCON X workout created by the experts at Marchon Training. This is no time to leave anything on the floor. 


X50 BOX JUMP OVERS (M 24 / F 20 / Mi 20)

X10 SYNCHRO BURPEES 

X40 SANDBAG SQUATS (M 40KG / F 20KG)

X10 SYNCHRO BURPEES 

X30 SANDBAG GROUND TO SHOULDER (M 40KG / F 20KG)

X10 SYNCHRO BURPEES 

X20 SYNCHRO SINGLE ARM DUMBBELL STOH (M 22.5KG / F 12.5KG)

X10 SYNCHRO BURPEES 

X10 SYNCHRO SINGLE ARM DUMBBELL SNATCH (M 22.5KG / F 12.5KG)

X10 SYNCHRO BURPEES 


Where ‘synchro’ isn’t specified pairs can share the required reps as they like with only one athlete working at a time 


Scaled Option -

Males - 15kg db - 20kg sandbag - 24"box jump overs or step overs


Female - 10kg db - 15kg sandbag - 20" box jump overs or step overs


Mixed - same db"s and sandbags as those listed for male and female and 20" box jump overs or step overs


0-8 MINS 

SHOULDER TO OVERHEAD - 3 REP MAX 

(BOTH ATHLETES TO ACHIEVE THEIR OWN 3RM) 


8-16 MINS 

DEADLIFT - 5 REP MAX 

(BOTH ATHLETES TO ACHIEVE THEIR OWN 5RM)
