About This Competition

What better way to celebrate the holiday season than with a Male/Female Partner Competition!

Registration will open at 7 AM with the athlete meeting starting at 8:15 AM. Male and Female partners RX, Intermdiate and Scaled divisions, Masters 40+ Scaled, Intermediate,  and RX divisions as well.  

Movement Standards and Workouts will be released prior to the event. If you complete the Open workouts RX you are an RX athlete, if you scale them you are scaled. Intermediate you will see some basic gymnastics movements like pull ups and toes to bar so this is a great middle ground division!

Movements you might see..

Muscle Ups (1 person on team)

C2B Pull Ups/ pull ups (ring rows scaled)

T2B/Ab Mat Sit Ups

Double Unders/Single Unders

Handstand push Ups/Hand Release Push Ups

Snatchs (male 135 female 95 for rx - reps)

Clean and Jerks (male 185 female 135 rx - reps)

Dumbbell Movements (RX 50/35 S 35/20)

Box Jumps RX Step Ups Scaled

Rowing all divisions

Air Bikes All divisions

Wall balls 20/14 14/10

Sandbags 150/100 rx 100/70 scaled

Score is total number of Wall Balls. You can switch partners at any point during the workout with a tag in and out of the holding area. All movements are the same across standard and masters divisions.

Weights are the same across standard and masters divisions. For synchro we are looking for both athletes to have the barbell on the ground at the same time and fully locked out at the hips at the same time for the deadlift. We are then looking for the bar to be in the front rack position for both athletes at the same time with the elbows slightly infront of the barbell with the hips and knees fully extended. Finally we are looking for the barbell to be fully locked out overhead at the same time, with hips, knees, shoulders, elbows at full extension at the top of each rep. If an athlete beats their partner to the top of a rep, they can hold and wait for the rep to still count.

You can switch partners at any time with a tag out. 1 person works at a time

Workout #2

10 Min EMOM:

Odd Min (1,3,5,7,9)

Male Athlete - 15 DU Rx 10 DU Int 15 Single Unders Scaled

Female Athlete - 1 Ground To Overhead (snatch, clean and jerk/press - no hang movements allowed)

Even Min (2,4,6,8,10)

Female Athlete - 15 DU RX, 10 DU Int, 15 Single Unders Scaled

Male Athlete - 1 Ground to Overhead (Snatch, clean and jerk/press - no hang movements allowed)

 

1 athlete on the floor at a time. Athlete 1 goes out and does their jump rope reps based on their division. Once the jump rope reps are completed the second athlete heads to the floor and does on ground to overhead. Once the ground to overhead is completed both athletes can be on the floor to to change weights if they want.

The score for this event is total weight lifted. We will add all 5 male and all 5 female lifts for 1 total number. You can have as many attemtps as you want as long as it's within your min lifting window. You can go up and down with weight as you want.
