8TH ANNUAL FROSTFIT TEAM CHALLENGE

WHAT: Team of two partner competition to challenge athletes of all ability levels

WHEN: Saturday, January 25th, 2020

WHERE: CrossFit SoCo. Colorado Springs, CO

Athlete Registration:

  • Friday: 4:00PM - 7:00PM
  • Saturday: 6:30AM - 7:30AM

Athlete Brief: 7:45AM - 8:00AM

The Gauntlet: 8:15AM - 10:03AM

The Ladder: 10:25AM - 12:36AM

The Floater: 8:15AM - 12:50AM 

The Full Send: 12:55PM - 3:51PM

Awards: 4:15PM

Workouts

The Floater: 

  • Barbell must stay above athlete’s head. Full lockout is not required.
  • Athlete on ski erg may only begin working when partner holds barbell above head.
  • 50 meter penalty for not returning the handles safely. 
  • 50 meter penalty for starting to ski before partner has barbell overhead. 

The Full Send: 

  • Athletes must tag each other in & out
  • CrossFit Open Standard thrusters, pull-ups, chest-to-bar pull-ups, and bar muscle ups
  • Athletes will not change their own weights.

Alternating DB Snatch

  • CrossFit Open standard DB Snatches
  • Non-lifting hand may not come in contact with the body
  • Athletes must tag partner in & out
  • May transition as desired

Hurdle Jump Overs

  • Athletes must tag each other
  • Feet must stay within the length of the hurdle
  • Any contact made with hurdle is considered a no-rep
  • May transition as desired

Partner Pistols

  • Athletes must face each. 
  • Athletes must alternate legs. 
  • Athletes do not have to alternate hands. 
  • Athletes may only use hand to support themself by their partner. 
  • Athletes must break parallel and stand to full extension at the same time. 

 Partner Push Up Taps

  • Athletes must alternate hands
  • Athletes must come to full extension at the top of the plank
  • Push Up may not be initiated with knees touching the floor.

Row For Meters

  • Athletes may use the 20 second transition time to adjust the rower. 
  • There will be multiple rowers on the floor. 
  • Athletes must be on the plate together before starting their row

Toes to Bar

  • CrossFit Open standard T2B
  • Athletes must tag partner in & out
  • May transition as desired
  • There will be boxes for athletes to get onto the rig.

The Ladder: 

  • CrossFit Open Standard Power or Squat Cleans
  • Athlete must stand weight to full extension
  • Athletes must wait for judge’s signal before lowering weight.
  • CrossFit Open Standard Deadlifts
  • May take as many attempts as desired if clean is not successful
