Old School Blastoff
About This Competition
2nd Annual 6 person team Old School Blastoff competition.
3 men and 3 women will compose the 6 person teams. All athletes should be able to meet the standards. However, teams who can play best to the strengths of their athletes will certainly find success. If you love the thrill of the unknown and figuring out game day competition strategy: this is the event for you! Know this now, not all workouts will be announced before the competition.
This is an old school style team competition meaning, in part, that the team is stronger than the sum of its parts. Playing to the strengths of your team members, being able to communicate on the fly and executing your team strategy will prove to be important in negotiating the day's events.
Get your team Rx team together and be prepared to put the best athlete(s) forward for the various workouts. Each team will complete 4 workouts. Top 5 teams advance to the finals.
Standards are not exclusive to the movements that will be seen. Not all will need to be able to perform all movements but you will need at least one male and one female to be able to complete:
Deadlift (225, 155)
Snatch (115, 75) for reps
Shoulder to Overhead (165, 105)
KBS (70, 53)
Pull Ups, Toes to Bar, HSPUs, Ring Dips, Double Unders
