SGV Throwdown 2022
About This Competition
Hello and welcome to the SGV Throwdown 2022!
We want to thank you for choosing this long time fitness event! We will be bringing you a total of 3 workouts with 5 different scored oportunities. Teams can expect two main workouts and a floater.
Our first workouts will be released by June 28th and all workouts will be released no later than July 28th so you can have a full month to practice and get ready for the event!
We will also be releasing promo codes for this event including our first one that must be used by June 10th! Make sure to use promo code "earlybird22" to recieve $40 off all other promo codes will be released through our instagram so make sure to follow us @crossfit_westcovina
Qualifiying Rules- We ask that you please make sure to sign up for a division that best suits you. If you are an elite athlete please refrain from signing up for our intermediate division. Stay true to the workoloads and your capabilities. If you need to change divisons or make changes in general please email us so we can approve them.
Refund and Substitutions Policy: We will not give any refunds. We will allow for subsitutions or team changes due to unforseen events. If this is the case we ask that you please notify us as soon as possible so changes can be made promptly.

Workouts
Just Go (score 1)
Score 1: Finish the Chipper as fast as possible
The Workout
- The 1st score is timed, once you complete it you will have the remainder of the 8 minutes to rest . Faster you finish the bigger rest before the Lift
- At the 8min mark all teams will begin the lift portion whether you finished the first part or not
- You will have as many attempts as you'd like in your 6 minutes
- Before every attempt you will verify the weight with your judge. It's must be completed in this Order DEADLIFT, HANG SQUAT CLEAN, FRONT SQUAT, FRONT SQUAT, verify completion with judge before assuming.
- At 14minutes the weight liftin portion will end.

As a team you will have 8 minutes to complete

60/50 Cal Row
40 Burpee box jump Overs
at the 8 minute mark you will be given an extra 6 minutes
For you and your partner to estplish 1 Rep Max of
1 Deadlift
1 Hang Squat Clean
2 Front Squats

Standards
Advanced: TTB, 30/24in Box
Masters/ Co-Ed: TTB, 24/20in Box
Intermediate: Knees to Chest, 24/20in Box
Beginnners: Leg Lifts, 24/20in box + step overs
Key Points:

No Time to Sandbag
Score 1: Total Calories on Skierg
- 4-8-12-16-20-24-28-32..Etc. Single DB Overhead Lunge
- 90 Foot Sandbag Carry
In this workout 3..2..1..go
Partner 1 will begin to Ski for calories while Partner 2 will perform 4 Single DB Overhead Lunges and a 90 foot Sand bag carry. Once that is completed, Partners must switch.
At this point Partner 2 will ski and Partner 1 will perform 8 Overhead Lunges and 90 foot sandbag carrry. Once completed partners must switch .
Continue this pattern for 7min
Key Points:
- Partners must switch after each set of Overhead Lunges and Sandbag carry
- Skierg can continue to ski even if Sandbag partner rests at any point.
- There will be markers for the 90 foot carry. Totaling 10 points for full 90 feet and 1 point for every 9 feet completed. When time ends Sandbag point will be counted for the last line completed.
- There is two scores 1: for total cals on skier 2:for total reps on AMRAP
