About This Competition
SANDCLASH KSA 2018
Shout out to the Fitness community in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as we announce the launch of SANDCLASH Competition. You are invited to participate, showcase and represent your box / GYM in a challenging community event that is meant to gather the fitness enthusiasts and practitioners in the kingdom under one roof.
SandClash 2018 will be the first rundown/chapter of an iconic fitness event that will take place every year. As one big community.

*Male Coaches from the affiliated boxes can't register as an athlete to compete yet all Level 1 coaches are welcomed to sign up as judges or volunteers
Qualifying Phase
The competition will kick off with 3 weekly qualifying WOD's. All athletes are required to register at Competition corner website for the qualifying WOD's. Registered athletes need to perform the qualifying WOD at one of the participating affiliates and record a video at their own and upload it to YouTube and add the video link in Competition Corner.
Athletes who are members in one of the affiliated boxes need to perform at least 1 of the qualifying WOD events at one of the qualifying affiliates:

Video Submission Guidelines:
• An athlete needs to introduce himself in the video and state the qualifying WOD title i.e. SC.18.1
• An athlete needs to have a judge from the participating boxes to verify the athlete WOD time, number of reps and hitting the right standard of the movements.
• An athlete needs to show the equipment in the video (weights, height etc..)
• An athlete needs to show the WOD timer in the video
Video Submission Timeline
SC.18.1 - Last Submission Date: Thursday the 4th of October
SC.18.2 - Last Submission Date: Thursday the 10th of October
SC.18.3 - Last Submission Date: Thursday the 17th of October

after the qualifying events, the top athletes will be competing for the title of
”The Fittest in the Kingdom”
Each of the qualifying events will consist of a 1 WOD. The qualifying events will be hosted in Three regions (East, West & Central) at the same time for 3 weeks
Participant athletes will compete on the title of “The Fittest in the Kingdom” with a cash prize of:
•15K for the First Winner
•10K for the Second Winner
•5K for the Third Winner
Registration Fees: 50 SAR to be paid in competition corner website for online qualifiers.
Qualified athletes who want to participate in the final event will also pay 100 SAR to cover the cost of the athlete's apparel.

**Athletes are not allowed to drop the barbell from the top. Barbell must be put down in control. If the barbell is thrown to the ground a penalty will be applied (1 Rep deduction each time the athlete drops the bar without controlling it on the way down)
