RFA Games - Israel Throwdown Qualifiers
About This Competition
RFA Games - Israel Throwdown
What was until this year the "Fittest in Israel" competition has transformed into the "Israel Throwdown" that is open to all.
This will be the 9th time this competition will take place. It goes back all the way to 2011, making it one of the longest standing functional fitness competitions in the world.
While growing each year, this years Throwdown will be different by having its own qualifier. There will be more athletes competing for a fewer spots. As well as a *new* team category that will take place for the first time.
This year we will be taking things up a notch. It will be worth fighting for your spot in the Finals!
- Registration Opens on the 20th of January 2019 until the 2nd of March at 11:59pm
- Qualifiers will be held between the 17th of February through the 2nd of March
- The Finals will be held in Tel Aviv on the 21-22 of June in Tel Aviv, Israel
Qualifier Details:
All 3 workouts will be announced on the 17th of Febuary. The deadline to submit scores is on the 2nd of March by 11:59pm.
For an athlete or team trying to qualify for the Finals a video is required for each workout with the link posted with the score before the deadline. For the teams a video of each member is required. If the video is not up to standards regarding reps/weights/movement standards the athlete's/team's score will be adjusted or removed.
An athlete than is registered in 2 different categories must have 2 separate scores and videos for both workout variations by each category.
*Upload the video to Youtube or Vimeo*
For Event #3 there must be 1 continous video for part 1 and part 2.
- Penalties:
- Missing Reps/No reps from 1-4 reps, the score will be reduced by the number or reps missing, or time will be adjusted accordingly.
- From 5-10 Reps the score will be reduced by 15%, or time will be adjusted accordingly.
- Above 10 Reps or video standards not being met, the score will be removed from the leaderboard
- The following number of athletes will continue toward the Finals from each category:

- Women: 36
- Teams (2 Males+2 Females):10

- Masters Women 35-39: 12

*There are no age limitations for the "Mens" and "Womens" or "Team" catergories. (Example: A 16 year old or a 38 year old man can try and compete in the Mens division)*
*An athlete can register to both Team and Individual categories. After the end of the qualifiers if an athlete qualifies in both categories he/she must choose 1 to compete in. The next in line will get the invitation instead of that Individual/Team*
