Barbells & Bacon is back for its 11th year running & Its going to be one action packed, fun competition.
Barbells & Bacon is a team competition with 4 members on each team. Teams of 2 Guys & 2 Girls will throw down in 3 workouts throughout the morning, testing each strength, stamina, & skill along with strategy & teamwork. This isn't a competition to be missed. Get your team ready!
Registration goes live October 6th. There are a limited number of spots, so don't hit the snooze button & miss out.
DIVISIONS: We will be running Scaled teams first starting at either 7am or 8am on December 9. Once the scaled division is over, the RX division will start. We run our competitions on time. As registration fills up and we know how many teams are in each division we will announce final start and end times. Each division is capped at 18 team (6 lanes 3 heats per WOD).
Athlete Parking is located in front of the building.
Refunds can be issued up until 2 weeks prior to the event (November 25th)
Substitutions & edits can be made at any time until the competition.

Workouts
Floater WOD: DEAD BIKE
4 Minutes
Time 0:00-2:00
Females will deadlift the same bar loaded before the workout for max tonnage.
Males will have one Rogue Echo Bike and accumulate maximum calories.
at 2:00-4:00
Females and Males will switch and males will deadlift for tonnage and females will accumulate calories
We will multiply your barbell weight by your reps to total a tonnage.
Score 1: Female barbell weight x reps + Male barbell weight x reps
Score 2: Total calories in the 4 minutes.
There will be 1 barbell for females and 1 barbell for males. Barbells can be loaded prior to workout beginning.
Floater WOD: DEAD BIKE

Workout 2: Complex Flex
Score: Total Weight for team
On a 6 minute clock
Both females will find a max load of:
1 Snatch + 1 Hang Snatch + 2 Overhead Squats
1 minute rest/reset
Both males will find a max load of:
1 Clean + 1 Hang Clean + 2 Front Squats
**Note: Complex must be unbroken. Snatches and cleans can be POWER or SQUAT
The bar cannot be set down at any point between movements or the complex will be considered a failed lift. If you squat the hang snatch or clean, you must return to full extension with hips and knees before moving into the overhead squat or front squat.
Overhead and front squat: hips must clearly pass below the top of the knees in bottom position and reach full hip and extension at the top to start the next rep.
Workout 2: Complex Flex
Score: Total Weight for team
On a 6 minute clock
Both females will find a max load of:
